It is close to town and the brewery, and was clean. However, the air conditioning is via a wall unit that sounded like an airplane engine. Added to that was the even louder (if possible?) bathroom fan. If you're going to stay here, I'd suggest bringing your own towels and pillows because both were very worn. Also this is a...

Excellent motel, worth the price, close to town and the brewery. They have cold New Glarus Brewing beer in a beer cooler in the lobby!!! This is a motorcycle friendly motel also. Restaurants are nearby as well as other specialty shops in the town. Would definitely stay in this motel again.

We stayed here for a night while on a Wisconsin getaway. There's not a lot of lodging in town, but this will be my choice next time too. It's a well maintained motel. We had a room in the back section which was away from the highway, so noise was not an issue. The room was pretty spacious for a...

Swiss Aire is your basic one-story family run motel. The rooms are clean and well air-conditioned and the beds are comfortable. Yes, the upholstered chairs sag in the middle but we weren't expecting luxury. Dogs are allowed in some of the rooms with a minor charge. The best thing about the place is its location. Although it's on Highway 69,...

Clean room with no funny smells & well working air-conditioning (very hot and humid out while we were there). Extra pillows and blankets were tucked in the drawers for those that mentioned there were not enough in their reviews. Nothing fancy but nice enough - I would stay there again.

Room was clean. Beds comfortable, and what more can you ask for from a place that doesn't try to be more than it is. My only complaint was that we were in the back building, and the door to the outside slammed shut. Needs a new closer. It woke me up a couple times late at night. Other than that,...

we've stayed here at least 6 times, it's an easy walk into town and the bike trails and very close to the brewery. the rooms are always clean and perfect size for an easy weekend getaway. we've always had good experiences with the staff and i love that they have a few dog friendly rooms.

Beware - do not stay here! Their office closes at 10 pm! After having Christmas dinner with my family I went on my trip to New Glarus and stayed at this horrible shack, the Swiss Aire motel. First of all I had trouble finding it - there was no lit sign (it was late at night around 2:50 am). The...

We visit New Glarus once a year in the fall. Not only to see the beautiful countryside, or spend time in the quaint town of New Glarus, but also to drink the beer at New Glarus brewing. On our previous trips we have stayed in B & B or vacation rental type places. Let's just say they haven't been stellar....

I'm torn by whether to leave a 2 or 3 for my review. In fairness, here are the disclaimers. The week we were there it was over 90 degrees with horrible humidity. So I'm not blaming them for the room feeling a bit damp and musty or the air conditioner struggling to keep up. I also love New Glarus. It's...
