Booked the Plaza Hotel for an event I was attending in the River West area. I have tried a few of the smaller hotels in Milwaukee over the years, but this one is the one I will come back to! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They have an original phone switch board behind the counter that was super cool.(non-working)... More

second floor in section 4 was very quite and dark. Carpet is a little worn, but overall very clean. Cleaning staff were very nice and made the room very clean and well supplied. Location was great. Such a great value!

I chose this hotel randomly and wondered about the quality because the cost was pretty low. But I couldn't imagine a more pleasant and comfortable stay. It seemed like the best of both worlds, the old-time historic building with it's non-electronic key, only two floors, but also good wifi. The cafe was a big plus, very convenient in the morning... A lovely hotel located in a great area! Very close to the lake and museums along with various shops. The staff was very friendly and accommodating along with helpful making us feel at home. The full kitchen located in the rooms is amazing should one choose to make a meal instead of relying on fast food. If cooking isn’t your... More

I stayed at this hotel over a long weekend, it is a really neat old building with great period details. The staff at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful, every person I talk to was really great. The room is nothing special, I kind of felt like I was staying at a friends old apartment. There is no... More

Quirky, all on one level. Corridor and bedrooms go back in time - but the upkeep has been done and its clean. Reception excellent. Breakfast very good - but be aware that brunch over the weekend is very popular with the locals. Counted x14 waiting. Have a diner room and the restaurant room. Pity no dinners there.

It's a very nice hotel, its cool to be give actual keys to open your door instead of a card. The rooms were small and quaint. the only complaint is that you could hear a lot of the noise from the hallways and the beds were small and uncomfortable.

I liked everything except the lack of sound proofing. Very charming place, and the cafe with full menu is excellent that you would go back just to Eat. They do not have an elevator for your information.

Classic hotel in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. The location is a great asset....only 2 blocks off the lakefront and fabulous restaurants and services close by. The apartment-like rooms allow for eating in if you choose to do so. The staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful. The Cafe has the best breakfast/brunch!

Great location within walking distance to many great restaurants and the Bradley Center and riverwalk. Nice quiet and safe neighborhood. Hotel is historic, could use a little work. Photos online made me feel that it would have been a bit more homey than it was. Our room had dark carpet and not a single painting on the walls. Floors were... More
