This hotel is a renovated building belonging to the old Pabst brewery. It has a lot of charm and character. Our room was small but well equipped. The free breakfast was disappointing, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit. The location was great for "brewery" hopping. We were able to walk to MKE brewery and Central Water Brewery.
Staff were all friendly. Room was comfy and quiet. The inside of the hotel is the most historically interesting place we’ve ever stayed. The fact that it’s in a old beer factory is fascinating. They’ve tried to keep/use pieces from the original factory. Our headboard was made from wood from original beams. The room was spacious with a kitchenette. The bathroom was also large and well appointed. The beer vats are still in place and can be seen from the balconies on each floor. The original stained glass is stunning with a wonderful story too. It looks at first like you’re in a very quiet area. But we realized the second day there was two breweries within two blocks. And The Best House (where PBR first started being brewed a few hundred years ago) is around the corner. The tour is a must do and there’s a bar there with inexpensive beer. But back to the hotel… there’s a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel. We did not eat there but enjoyed a beer there our first night. I told my husband I hope we can get a room here for such a great deal next time we visit because this is the only place I want to stay!…
This was a great event at The Brewhouse Inn & Suites as well as at OnTap. Emily Rauber was a great host. Friendly & very helpful. I would highly recommend this event as well as this venue to my friends & family.
We stayed at the Brewhouse Inn and Suites while in Milwaukee recently and had an excellent experience. The hotel is located in the old Pabst Brewing building and has many historic features including the copper kettles where the beer was brewed. Service was excellent. Our room was spotless and met all our needs. The only disappointment was that the bar wasn’t open on Tuesday night but we will remember that for next time. We were within walking distance of the Old Third Ward, Deer District, and Usinger’s Sausage. Special shout outs to Kristine at the front desk and Percy the wonderful valet who made our stay very special. We would highly recommend this unique hotel.
This is a beautiful hotel. It’s in the Old Pabst Blue ribbon brewing factory . The rooms are very spacious and have kitchens which was a nice surprise. Also booking was very easy. Special shout out to Emily Rauber for helping me get my reservation booked. She was very friendly and helpful! I’ll definitely be staying here again.
Whisky & beer pairing hosted by Matt S - my friend and I had such a great time, the host was knowledgeable and informative about the drinks, and he was very entertaining, which made the experience. I was impressed with the variety of the whisky and whiskey in the tasting. Thank you.
What we experienced was better than I could have imagined. They did such a great job of retaining history and character with every aspect of not only the hotel, but the entire neighborhood. I would highly recommend if you are at all interested in this type of project and find yourself in Milwaukee to either stay here or at least take a tour. You won't be disappointed.
Beware if you think your reservations are going to be honored. Booked four months out and arrived at the hotel to be told by the General Manager that they had cancelled our room and relocated us to another hotel 0.7 miles away. Originally we had booked a one bedroom king suite (700 square feet) for 3 people. Received immediate confirmation of our reservation. Four months after booking, we walked into the hotel to check In and were asked to stand to the side. The Director of Sales came up and asked if we had gotten email from them. Obviously we didn’t as we were standing In the lobby waiting to start off a weekend vacation that we had carefully planned only to find out they had relocated us to another hotel in a non-comparable room. Our party of three have 60+ years of travel experience and have never been relocated to another hotel. After a lengthy discussion with the General Manager about a reservation we made four months prior and that we had intentionally selected the hotel based on a number of factors, he found two rooms. Unfortunately our party of three, coming from different locations for a reunion event, had to split up into the two rooms, less than ideal and a horrible way to treat customers and do business.…
We stayed for the weekend for my husband's birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff even left him a birthday card and trail mix in our room upon check-in; the room was spacious and very comfortable, and even included an apartment-style kitchen. We'd stay here again the next time we're in Milwaukee.
This place is a little rough around the edges. The property is super cool. The location is neat. The check in process was lack luster and the room was too. We appreciated the spaciousness of the room. We took advantage of the kitchenette. The room lacked warmth and decor and felt a bit drab, borderline dirty. The room is in need of updating. The bathroom was more like 2 star. It was like a hospital bathroom, but old with visible "repairs". The Tvs were old and small. Overall, for the price we expected a more updated luxurious experience. We will not return.
