I booked because of a negative review that complained of having to wait to swim the next morning. I have wanted to take my daughter to a pool for months, but didn't want to risk other people being there. I booked our 1 hour swim slot at check in. The people before us were out half an hour early so the room had time to air out. My daughter wasn't having it so we were only in for a half hour, but it was worth it for the private swim time. They could do better on the breakfast options, but I understand the hotels are probably trying to save money. Rates are cheap, occupancy is lower, and cleaning costs are up. I think its great that they are enforcing social distancing in the fitness areas instead of just closing them. It made me feel that they were taking an interest in the health of their customers. I saw 3 maids and 3 clerks during my stay. All were masked as were patrons outside of the pool.…
Good place to stop and get some rest. Nice pool and to go breakfast. Great place to get sleep because area is quite. A lot of restaurants near by. Stuff members were polite and friendly. Overall enjoy my stay.
We booked three rooms. One of them had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The staff was rude when I complained about our room not being cleaned. They claimed that it was policy that we had to request room service, but they never told us that at check in, and could not provide any written policy stating that. The room had been cleaned for the first 5 nights, but suddenly it was policy to not clean the room unless requested.
We stopped here from our Upper Peninsula trip mainly to hit up IKEA and we didn’t feel like driving 12 hours straight home. Hotel is located in a good location but we didn’t trust leaving our bicycles on our SUV even with it locked - they did allow us to bring our bikes to our room. We also had our little Chihuahua with us and one of the main reasons we stayed here was because they allowed pets. We had a quiet evening, the hotel is super close to IKEA that was a huge plus, no issues with the people staying next to us. Sad that because of the pandemic there was no hot breakfast but they did provide a bagged breakfast consisting of water, a fruit and granola bars.
Since there was nothing much to do in Milwaukee and it was my last couple days of vacation, I decided to treat my daughter to a night in the king whirlpool suite. When I checked in at 3, I was asked if I wanted to use the pool and was then told each room has to sign up for their hour of time. It was kinda cool, because we got the whole pool to ourselves, but kind of bummed because I rented the room solely for the purpose of my daughter getting to swim. It would have been nice to be told ahead of time that we would only be getting 1 hour of swim time, or I wouldn’t have reserved a room. I understand the policy, but have stayed at other hotels since the pandemic without this type of policy so I was caught off guard. I have stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Brookfield, and enjoyed my stay there much more than this location, but they did not have the whirlpool suite available. There were also some cleanliness issues in my room. There was salt all over the kitchenette from a previous guest, so I had to clean it myself. Area under the air conditioner was very dirty. Also, there is a remote for the temp and I set it at 61 because the room was hot, but I don’t think the temp remote actually worked even after thoroughly reading the instructions. I didn’t get a good night of sleep. The beds were comfy, and the staff was very nice. That being said, I would only stay at the Brookfield location in the future.…
