We recently made a quick trip to Milwaukee and turned to Hotwire. I have had some bad experiences with 2.5 star hotels but this was a first for a 3 star. Pro: the ladies at the front desk were very friendly, bed was firm, great location, beautiful views (see photo), non-smoking, and free WiFi. It has potential. Con: bathroom was... More

My first shock came from seeing the size of the parking spaces. If my car had been any bigger, we would not have been able to fit into one, and they charge for these - $15 a night to park. The next shock was the pet fee- $40 for my 19 lb Boston Terrier. The third shocker was the bed.... More

This hotel is so outdated and rundown it gives the impression of not being clean. There are so many areas that need repairs both with function and cosmetics. The rooms are very small and the mattresses are hard. The parking spaces are very small and we were lucky to find a spot that would fit our small SUV. The only... More

Being the organizer for a family reunion, we came a day early & the young woman at the front desk was very helpful & friendly. We found the rooms to be a little small, bathrooms especially & were surprised to find no fans in the bathrooms. But, it was clean, had wifi, bar & restaurant downstairs plus breakfast in the... Comfortable, clean rooms; bar and restaurant; continental breakfast; reasonable price. It is near downtown. You can pay $15 for parking on the premises, but I was lucky to find on the street parking over the weekend. Park East best feature: lovely neighborhood near Lake Michigan.

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel that is within walking distance of Lakefront Brewery and Water St. bar district and that it is. The hotel is dated and in need of refurbishment. We basically used it as a place to crash and for that, it was fine. The walls are thin but luckily we didn't have any noisy neighbors.... More

I was sent here from another hotel that was over-booked. They promised me it was comparable. They lied. This is a hotel from 1985. The carpets are from 1985. The furniture is from 1985. The holes in the walls that are filled with caulk are from 1985. The mold and mildew in the bathrooms are from 1985. It's got a... More

Seems clean; front desk people are efficient; lots of guys hang around near front entrance which was a bit unnerving. It's location is very convenient to downtown Milwaukee, which is a plus. Winters are a pain.

I was visiting Milwaukee and found this hotel. It looked older, cute and family owned, so I thought I would give it a try. The lobby was dated but clean and was attached to an amazing restaurant. I took the elevator up to the 2nd floor and saw a sign that said this way to the rooms. The door to... More
