We've been staying there for about 15 years. Very comfortable, attentive owners, great home-made breakfasts on Friday-Sunday, very adequate continental breakfast the other days. Spacious whirlpools and bathrooms. Large, comfortable beds. Antiques furniture in all the rooms. You won't go wrong.

This is the best B&B ever. If you are in southern Wisconsin it is central to many activities, from the Dells to Spring Green, to Madison, so this is the place to stay. The rooms are meticulously decorated with many pictures, clocks, lamps and period pieces to enjoy. The beds are wonderful. Sit on the porch and relax by the... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while on a "pilgrimage" to Taliesin in Spring Green, WI which is an easy 20 minute drive away. Our hosts, Dave and Karisa, were wonderful. They shared a lot of the history of the house and garden with us. The house is charming, keeping the flavor of it's 19th century roots... More

Breakfast was wonderful & filling: filling all the senses. The Doctors Study was comfy, clean & went beyond our expectations. We especially appreciated that Karisa & David let us check in a little early as we needed to change clothes for a wedding. Thanks so much for this memorable mini-getaway!

My husband and I made a reservation to stay at the Walking Iron B&B for 2 nights. We were meeting my husband's family in the area. Unfortunately, I was sick and could not attend. My husband called me from the Walking Iron and was so pleased with his accommodations. The house has been beautifully restored. The room he had was... More

"Consummate," in the sense of "lacking nothing," describes this lovingly, luxuriously detailed guest home near Taliesen and House on the Rock and other sites. Every corner gleams, every fixture dazzles, from high-shine brass to high-pressure hot-water double showers and jacuzzis. We stayed in the historic Doctor's room, full of fun objects from the original doctor's office, but with a dead serious... More

We had a good time during our short stay at the Walking Iron. Our favorite part about the room was the huge jacuzzi style bath tub. The room was clean, as was the entire property. The breakfast was nice as well, great service.

We stayed here recently and it is a very nice B&B. Very clean and well organized. We arrived late and they made it very easy to check in and get to our room. The building itself is right out of the 1850's from exterior to the decor in each room - tons of character. The breakfast was good but nothing... More

On a whim my husband booked one night at the Walking Iron B&B for what turned out to be a gorgeous fall weekend! The town of Mazomanie is very small and there isn't a whole lot going on there, but when we drove up to the Walking Iron it could not have been more perfect. The keys were waiting for... More
