Another place I almost don't want to share with anyone, but wouldn't do that!! Picked this place at random. Always afraid to go somewhere new and be disappointed. Well, we were not. This is a beautiful campground. Clean. Very well kept. Surrounded by forest and lake. Part of the Chippewa Flowage. Seasonal camping or short visits. We have a 40'... More

Our trip this weekend just solidified a new tradition. I cannot wait to enjoy this for many years to come. If you don't like sand, don't go. Can't reserve by site # unless you're staying Sat to Sat at least but I understand that! The staff was friendly with the exception of one person, showers are clean, and there is... More

This was our first trip to the Chippewa Flowage. The drive up through the forest was very peaceful and we were hoping that theme would continue throughout the campground. We were assigned a campsite within the 25-50 site area which was very close quarters with little privacy. It was a close walk to the docks ($5 per night to reserve)... More

We had never been to northern Wisconsin & found this on the internet. We have a large motorhome & it's not always easy to find a campground that can accommodate us. I also like full hookups. There had been a huge storm the day we arrived & the spot they gave us was all grass & I think fairly new.... More

We have visited this campground many times over the years. Our kids, now ages 10 and 6, have a wonderful time here. The beach area is clean and well maintained. Campsites are spacious and have nice shaded areas. Bathroom/shower facilities are clean and well maintained. We always find plenty to do and enjoy our visits!

This was our first time camping at Lake Chippewa, on the recommendation of a friend. It was a great experience, even though the weather stole our chances of taking advantage of most of the activities. We arrived and were given keys to a golf cart to go pick out our site. Great way to get familiar with the campground. We... More

This was our first, but not the last, trip to the Chippewa Flowage. We didn't come for the fishing although we hear some of the best fishing in Wisconsin is on the "Big Chip". We came to escape the rat race and just relax. With limited Cell service and Internet access it was like stepping back in time. The area... More

My family as well as my husband's family stayed up here for a week or so. Very clean and well run family orientated campground. Nice boat launch, fueling can be done by the launch, lots of boat docks, spacious camping areas, clean bathrooms, a bait house, a fish cleaning station, dump station, and a place for laundry. Plus, they have... More

When we arrived with no reservation we were given a list of available campsites and a golf cart so we could pick one out. Wow- that was fantastic to leave our rv at the entrance and cruise around the campground. We found a lovely grassy spot right on the shoreline which was perfect for launching our kayaks. $51 a night... More

While it is one of the more expensive campgrounds for tent sites it offers more as well. There were clean showers (coin-operated), rental equipment-including small boats, firewood delivery, and trash pick-up. Had an open tent site in the overfill area which worked out fine. Some of the sites closer to the water looked like they could get muddy if any... More
