We visited Cooksville Farm this winter and I could not say enough good things about the beauty of the home and the warmth and friendliness of the owners. We had a wonderful winter weekend sitting by the fire and taking walks on the grounds. The kitchen was immaculate with all the cooking equipment one might need. The rooms were spacious...

Went here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, the trip was a success. While we didn't get a chance to interact with them much, the owners, Bob and Martha, were very nice. When we arrived, there were very strong winds and even though the owners were kind enough to have a fire going in...

Cooksville Farmhouse Inn was such an amazing spot for our Family Reunion of 13 guests. Lovely rooms, large kitchen and an amazing outdoor space for breakfast and roasting marshmallows under the stars! You'll love your stay and the hospitality of Martha and Bob. This setting will amaze you, and you will want to stay longer! Don't miss this farm!!

We enjoyed our 4 night - 3 day stay very much. The proprietors, Martha and Bob, were very kind, courteous, and helpful. We learned about the local area and became mindful of its history for Wisconsin. The "grounds" are absolutely lovely and the artwork and craftsmanship is so very good. Thanks for the peaceful and wonderful time.

Clean, loved the decor, and the hosts were very attentive to our needs! The location was laid back & relaxing & yet close enough to Madison for us to tour. We enjoyed walking around the property & the General Store and we loved the fresh eggs! We would definitely recommend this to others!

We work hard at the "clean" part. The decor definitely has a farm theme. We're not super fancy, but we do try for relaxing and laid back.

The farmhouse provided the perfect setting for our small wedding and was a beautiful location to ring in the new year. We loved the coziness of the home as well as the games and well stocked kitchen. We spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace after coming in from the snowy surroundings. From the morning of our...

We loved our visit at the Inn. Our two year old, made herself at home and really enjoyed the basket of toys. She also loved feeding the chickens and exploring the property. We were well fed with delicious eggs made with hand-rolled Amish butter from the Cooksville Country Store. We enjoyed the rare day when all of us took a...

We all enjoyed our time tremendously! There were plenty of us - 12 - and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep with plenty of room for meals, games and conversation. Thank you for your warm hospitality, recommendations and tour of your lovely home. Our weekend family reunion was great fun and we are so grateful to you!

Great place to stay! Enjoyed the prairie & farm atmosphere & convenient location for touring south-central WI. Kids loved kayaking the Sugar River, Stoughton's Troll Beach & visits to Madison (and even to all the "Norwegian" shops). We love all the preservation efforts in Cooksville, Evansville, etc.!

The Inn is actually located on the edge of Cooksville, just down the road from the Cooksville Store. Our family used the inn as overflow lodging in between Christmas and NewYears for 4 nights. 10 of us from 3 to 68 years in age had a wonderful time when not on the sledding hills or visiting 2 blocks away at...

We look forward to having these folks back in the future. It is such a pleasure to see people enjoy our place. Winter is a cozy time in the farmhouse with games to play, fires to sit around, and plenty of room to cook together.

“This is really a vacation rental where one is charged by the number of people in the party and the number of rooms occupied. Owners live in the beautifully renovated barnacross the property. We occupied only the ground floor bedroom and it was very comfortable.”
