We just spent two wonderful nights at the Trollhaugen. The room was clean as a whistle and had everything we needed. The morning blueberry muffins were a nice touch! And Javier (the new owner) was so gracious and accommodating. We are only sorry we missed the opportunity to meet his wife, Maria. The location is picturesque and is right next...

Great stay at Trollhaugen. It has one of the cheapest rates in door county and you get exactly what you'd expect. We stayed in a motel room. They're working on a lot but it was very pretty friend (they even had bags for dog poo) but it was exactly what I expected for the price and the staff were very...

I cannot believe the other reviews this place got. It is a total dump. The bed was as hard as the floor. The linens were threadbare and the quilt was at least older than the hotel. The television was more than 20 years old. The drapes were synthetic plastic that were fashionable in the 50's plus they were not even hung...

Thank you for your honest review. We are pleased to inform you that as of February, 2017, Trollhaugen Lodge is now under NEW OWNERSHIP & MANAGEMENT, as O'MALLEY'S INN. We are working hard to renovate and upgrade the property to address the many issues pointed out in past guest reviews. We hope you will stop by and stay with us...

At cute little B&B's it's always the owners that make or break your stay. I can tell you Maria and Javier were accommodating, friendly, personable, and fantastic cooks. Once they found out we liked tamales they made them special for us each morning and even sent us home with some. Their home made salsas were amazing. The accommodations are fine,...

I recently stayed at Trollhaugen hotel with a small group for a wedding in the area. The rooms were nice and clean and the hosts were fantastic. The fire pit in the lawn was a great time and the envy of other wedding guests who stayed elsewhere. The owners were also generous enough to give us a lift to the...

We stayed in the motel and everything was great. The rooms were clean and spacious. There is large lawn in the back where you can relax and have a fire. We didn't stay in the B&B, but it seemed very nice. I did see the breakfast and it looked delicious! The owner makes her own pastries and also hot breakfast...

We loved the Trollhaugen & Door County. We stayed in the B&B portion, the ownership changed from the time we booked till the time we arrived (the unexpected), but probably for the better. The decor still looks little old lady like, excessive nick-knacks + fake flowers galore + the wonderful Troll statues (we did love these). However, the new owners...

“For the romantics, my wife and I always get the fireplace room and have not been that disappointed. The motel does offer some quiet rooms.”

“Any room is fine. Had a fridge.”

“4 double queen bed(s) rooms are located on the top floor and 4 king size bed rooms are located below in the exposed basement area. There are steps involved for older or handicapped guest. Older guest or handicapped guest would probably want to stay in one of the 4 king size bed rooms because there is a driveway to drive below, although it might be a difficult climb for most vehicles during snowy weather conditions.”

“Recommend the 2nd floor B&B rooms in the back, these are quieter since they are further from the road. Beds were pretty stiff, but for the cost worth it.”
