Since it was Pumpkin Festival in Door County we were very lucky to reserve 4 rooms for our group at a very good price. Our queen room overlooked the deck and the woods, had a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot (not the kind with pods) along with complimentary packages of coffee and blueberry muffins and bottles of water. There...

I don't usually do reviews unless really motivated one way or another. Let me start with the positive: I was given a full refund. By all rights, they could followed the cancellation policy and made things worse. The Negative: It just wasn't what we were sold online. I filled out the "request callback" form only not to be called back....

Our room was in the original lodge building. There is a large stone fire place in the room. There was no reason to use the fireplace this July. But in Door County one can never be too sure of the weather. It is a short, healthy walk from the lodge into the restaurant / activities area of Ephraim. Try the...

Stayed here for 2 nights on a recent family trip to Door county. The room is very clean, opens out to a yard with fire-pit and has a trail into the woods. They even provided complimentary bottled water and blueberry muffins in the room. For all this, their rates were a lot lower than all nearby non-pet friendly places. Would...

Thank you for Choosing Trollhaugen Lodge, hope to see you back soon.

My husband and I chose the Trollhaugen after browsing potential lodging accommodations online. The Trollaugen was $100 less than most others. We had a great time during our stay. We paid $135 for a 2nd floor room in the lodge. While it is true the hotel is older, we found our room to be very clean. The owner made us...

We spent the night in the log cabin. The cabin was clean and neat. The decor was a little confusing jumble of Alaskan, Scandinavian, Asian and northwoods. The sheets did not stay in place on the bed although the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good but nothing special. A skillet of eggs, peppers and potatoes. Fresh fruit and pastries...

The Trollhaugen Lodge changed ownership recently. . .the new owners (two school teachers from California) are doing their best to slowly make improvements as time and money permits. This is not a five star hotel. . .however it is one of the less expensive places to stay in Door County. I believe that all the mattresses have been replaced and...

ThIs place has a variety of accommodations that most places cannot offer. One place: A bed & breakfast, a small motel, and a stand-alone log cabin. By our choice we stayed in the log cabin, which I understood to be the original building on the property. It's built on the hillside, roughly 150 years old and renovated within the past...

I don't normally like to post a bad review but I feel obligated to let others know that they should at the very least wait until improvements are made to this property before considering renting a King room in the Motel of this property. Generally we are not picky about our accommodations and require only a clean and comfortable room...

Thank you for your honest review. We are pleased to inform you that as of February, 2017, Trollhaugen Lodge is now under NEW OWNERSHIP & MANAGEMENT, as O'MALLEY'S INN. We are working hard to renovate and upgrade the property to address the many issues pointed out in past guest reviews. We hope you will stop by and stay with us...

We had a great stay at the Trollhaugen Lodge. We stayed in the B & B part of the facility. It was very clean albeit a bit smallish. However, it met our requirements perfectly. The breakfast provided was amazing. The owners are from Southern California and made Mexican Chilequiles for us. The property is conveniently located and has ample parking...

“For the romantics, my wife and I always get the fireplace room and have not been that disappointed. The motel does offer some quiet rooms.”

“4 double queen bed(s) rooms are located on the top floor and 4 king size bed rooms are located below in the exposed basement area. There are steps involved for older or handicapped guest. Older guest or handicapped guest would probably want to stay in one of the 4 king size bed rooms because there is a driveway to drive below, although it might be a difficult climb for most vehicles during snowy weather conditions.”

“Recommend the 2nd floor B&B rooms in the back, these are quieter since they are further from the road. Beds were pretty stiff, but for the cost worth it.”
