On the waterfront of the Eagle River chain of 28 lakes between Watersmeet and Yellow Birch lakes. The Inn has 14 cozy knotty pine paneled rooms. The 6 waterfront cottages have kitchens with enclosed porches. Enjoy the private grounds sunbathing, volleyball, a few shots at hoops, fishing off the dock, wading in the water and finish the day by roasting marshmallows on the fire pits. We are encompassed by Chequamegon - Nicolet National Forest, Northern Highland American Legion Sate Forest and Vilas County Forest that have XC ski, bike and hiking trails. Enjoy a day of fishing for Muskies, Walleye, Bass or pan fish in one of the over 1300 lakes or Trout in one of the many clear streams. Look for a Bald Eagle, Ruff Grouse, Deer, Bear or any of the other wildlife. We have access to over 600 miles of groomed Snowmobile Trails just across the street. Being only one mile west of downtown Eagle River, other activities and dining are a quick walk or drive. For those of you that need the outside connections we have cable TV and Wireless Internet Connections or just sit near the water’s edge and relax.

Mostly OK. But, be forewarned, the walls are thin. We stayed four nights in the Inn/motel. Positives - the owner is very friendly and the grounds are nicely landscaped. Also, the room was basically clean except for one cobweb by the door that I cleaned up. Negatives - The room

Nice little cabin. Cozy. Cabin #1 had front porch AND enclosed porch too. Kitchen. Can rent boats. Heater could've been more powerful. Fritz will talk your ear off if you let him. Lots of brochures in the Front lobby ...helpful for finding other things to do in the area.

We were met at the desk by Fritz the owner and were immediately chastised us for our booking through Trip Advisor. He has signs at the desk how he could remodel more with financial examples if he did not have to pay the commission to Trip Advisor. I found it a bit odd as the

Thank you for your Stay and review. We have dropped taking booking via third party booking engines because of the small amount of incremental bookings we have been getting. We are still using TripAdvisor to have our phone number and website address posted on their site. This give the guest the ability to choose the room or cottages they need. We get 98% of our TripAdvisor's referral booking with a direct call or via our website. The rooms are small, this building has seen changes several time since the 1940's. At the time most of the rooms only had a twin bed. Now with queen size beds and a highback recliner there is not much room. The Higback recliner is the smallest one I could find as we have been getting a lot of request for a recliner for people that can not sleep in a horizontal position. Many of the local national chains do not have recliners. Yes to replace the main building is very cost prohibitive for the return on investment. Also our clientele would need to change to pay for the changes. Yes we are very seasonal in the area.

We are SO happy we stumbled upon this resort! Just can't say that enough. Fritz advertises that it will be just like going to Grandma's house and that is exactly what I kept saying the whole time we were there. Truly comforting. We have a huge family...lots of kids and grandkids

Me my wife and two sons stayed there on out way to the U.P. Fritz the owner was so pleasant to deal with. He even brought a couple mini mite jigs down to the dock for my boys to use. Such a nice man and a great little resort to stay. Very family friendly.
