Detailed Reviews
Privately owned “caravan park” with 180 sites. Four being for caravans. 176 demountable homes. We asked for a powered site for 2 nights and quoted $60.
No Caravan Park sign to Park on road. Go down “no thru road.” No entry into park. Park is gated. No parking in front of park and no parking in road. Had to call to get entry. Received full 2 pages of rules. We actually got an ensuite site for $60 per night! Thought the ensuite might be nice, and this would be okay. But not so. Brick building with concrete floor, no light cover in toilet area. No hooks on wall for clothes and also doubled for gardeners shed as had number of large chemical drums & buckets inside. No bins. No laundry. No access to beach. I called this park the “no no city”
I wished we’d booked at the Tavern which actually has a caravan park connected to it.

Pegs are not allowed because of the sprinkler system. Large water containers supplied to hold down Awning legs. But very windy most days, not a lot to do around town. The Tavern is all right but a steep hill to walk up to it but the views are amazing.

Booked for Australia Day weekend, no confirmation email, unable to make phone contact ! On arrival we were told awnings were allowed no pegs or swags allowed ( when booking we were told we could) each plot has own shower and toilet facilities ( power shower was the only reason we gave 1 star) very grubby and unfinished. Reticulation came on at 2am for 2hrs soaked all chairs beach towels, and bedding as we had the window open for fresh air!
Never again!!!

Caravan park is great.
What I do not love is when plans change and we have to cancel our stay more than 6 months in advance and do not receive a refund! We were told we would get a refund, even gave card details over the phone and email to receive it. After multiple attempts to get my refund, the owner now will not answer my phone calls, emails or text messages. Have had to contact consumer affairs which the park owners have completely ignored, now having to go through the court system to get our money back.

Nice little park, not much there though, enough to park your van and relax. Pub just up behind it.. wasn’t very well sign posted to where to park before going into campground etc!
Amenities are ok but need more hanging hooks for your clothes.. only spot to put them is pretty much on the toilet seat 🤷🏻♂️
Towel rail is behind the door so have to fully get out of the shower and close the door to get your towel, would also recommend maybe those wooden racks to stand on as there is plenty of sand on the floor.
Would I go back again..? YES I WOULD!
Plus the food was pretty yum at the pub too 👍

First trip in our caravan to see how easy it would be to park the caravan. The camp site was small but it served our purpose. It was easy to navigate and the people were very friendly. There were families, groups and campers alike and all seemed to be having good time. The toilets and showers were clean with lovely hot water. The site was clean and tidy. We had a meal and drinks in the caravan tavern sitting out watching the sun go down. Incredibly close to the beach and such a nice break away from the city stress.

I have been travelling extensively in Australia and overseas for almost 4 decades and this was the most disappointing experience I've ever had. There are plenty of airbnbs nearby I strongly recommend them.
We wanted to spend the weekend close to Perth without being in the suburbs before flying back to Melbourne on the Monday. My partner found Seabird. When he rang to book he was told we needed to supply our own linen. No problem so we packed sheets and pillow cases etc. He received a text message confirming the dates and payment. Nothing further, no instructions about how to find the place and check in. We turned up at the entrance gates. My partner went to the shop/reception. No-one there, no information about opening hours nothing. This park is next door to the Seabird Tavern and Caravan Park. We rang what we thought was the number and were told we had to check in at the Tavern. When we got there we were told we needed to go back to electronic gates. Apparently it happens regularly. Some consideration to guests would seem warranted, apparently not. We had travelled for 5 hours and could have done without this running around. Ok so this time we found the keys and checked in to our Cabin. Then we discovered there was no bedding at all. I rang Kim, and was told we needed to bring all bedding. I told her this was different to what we were told. She insisted my partner would have been told and it would have been in the email. We received no email. We checked through and found nothing. I asked Kim to forward the email. She advised she was not on site. I told her we would probably leave and asked if she would refund the money. She said she would 'talk about it' when we she got back next week. With no guarantee and feeling tired after long travels we decided to stay and managed with our clothing and the heating on full bore. At no time did Kim ask how we would/did manage. No compassion or concern at all. I contacted Kim the following Wednesday to ask for the email to be forwarded. She then said she wouldn't be back until the weekend and advised she was on leave until September with no-one managing the property in her absence. Rather concerning. Cutting a long story short after many more reminders we received the email. It was a newly generated email. I asked her to forward the original and she said she couldn't (even though that was my request all along) because it was sent through the 'booking system' and she didn't have copies. The email came from an outlook account and I find it difficult to believe it wouldn't be in the sent box (I use outlook myself).
We were not told that NO CONSUMABLES ARE PROVIDED. Nothing, no tea, coffee, sugar. not even salt and pepper, and very little toilet paper (seriously we were stunned). Basically nothing was provided apart from cutlery, crokery and glasses (many were very dirty). There was a washing machine in the ensuite but no laundry powder and one peg. The last thing we felt like doing after 5 hours on the road was shopping and if we had arrived after 6 there would have been nothing opened. The bathroom needed a good clean and we found smelly towels in the washing machine.
Seabird itself was lovely if you like quiet and peaceful. The tavern has beautiful views and reasonable food. The caravan park looked very well kept and included a nice pool and plenty of BBQs. I'd love to return to Seabird but definitely not to this park. Customer service is too important to me.

Don't stay at this park unless your ok with living in a mouldy death trap, the caravan / anex that I'm staying in has black mould every where, the caravan floor feels like your going to fall through it, the light switches are all faulty a nearly spark out at you, the ceiling gets so much condensation over night that electrical fires become a huge risk, and they think it's ok to spray weed/clove killer around your Caravan when your windows are open - now the Caravan stinks of weed killer, they have no care about yours or or children's health. They also spray the grassed playing areas with weed/clove killer without notifying parents first before your kids go to play on it, I would not stay here if I were you.

We just happened on ‘Seabird Caravan Park ‘ by sheer accident, this was our first trip in our new van . We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a BIG smile from Kim the Manager .
Kim explained if we needed anything she was only a phone call away ( as the office may be closed at some time during our stay ) Kim is a direct to the point manager and gave us clear instructions
She was 💯 % to her word … she gave us some really helpful information. Which made it a little hard to leave as she was soooo helpful
The hamlet of Seabird has a breathtakingly beautiful view of the ocean and the Tavern staff were ‘on their game ‘ as well. Well worth dropping in to check out the Seabird Caravan Parks’ facilities

When i booked here i told them id be in a camper trailer which obviously uses pegs decided to just tent it as we were only staying 2 nights when our friends got there before us they found out that pegs were not allowed .
Very annoying that they did not mention this at all when we booked as we wasted time and money on this trip and now have to wait for our money back
