My Trip dates were 26.12.2016 to 29.12.2016.. I had travelled with friends that were family and same here.. I had booked the property in September 2016 well ahead before the trip, only because of the reviews of Mr. Reji the Owner, Guide, Chef, Massage Specialist, Care taker.. and what not.. spending those days there truly felt like home, as they say homestay that`s the feeling you get when you come here. speaking about Mr. Reji he is like robot there doing all the stuff from clean to cooking, like all rounder and what`s more he is down to earth guy. agrees to all your demands and offers and also gives you suggestions for the area, with him you can get anything you want from Wayanad and forgot to mention he has very good contacts there from massages to spices.. Just one information the location given on google maps is wrong please contact him before you reach there for address or you might end up 15 Kms. away from property.. though I have corrected it on google maps by the time I am writing this review it has not been updated yet.

Two Families we drove down from Hyderabad to Wayanad. It was truly wonderful experience staying at Serenity Wayanad.... Mr. Reji, the man in charge & owner of the place will never allow you for any complaint. The guy is from Hospitality Industry and he knows how to create the magic !!!! A real home stay, cozy & serene indeed. We stayed for THREE DAYS and we enjoyed every bit of it. Cheers Reji !!!! Wish you all the best.

Four of us (2 couples) went to this home stay for two nights three days. The decision to book this place was entirely based on trip adviser ratings and reviews. The place is incorrectly tagged on Google. It is around 21km inside the main road and we got a feeling that the place will never arrive. Upon arrival, we were told no lunch as it seems you have to tell explicitly if you want lunch. So after driving 400km, we again went back 4km to eat out. We were given the cottage on the back side which is good as per the other reviews. But we found it very gloomy, stinky and creepy. The rooms are so dimly lit, you hardly feel the lights are on. There is no room for ventilation since the windows are tightly shut and therefore the weird smell as if you have let your wet clothes dry in their and they didn't dry well. We asked to shift to the front cottages as there were no other guests, the front rooms were alot better compared to the back ones. The room was lesser stinky and just had a wet feel in blanket. The rooms had spider webs all over the place. The blanket was dirty and we couldn't help but regret our decision of going there. The nearest place to eat food is around 4km far. The owner charged 400 INR per person per meal for the food which in no way is justified unless we are eating in some buffet with alot of varieties. There was no drinking water. When asked, the owner gave us some so-called filtered water in cold drink bottle. I mean seriously!!! Nothing nearby. My recommendation is to avoid this place at all costs. Conclusion: Pro: Good non-veg food. The tea estates near the home stay are beautiful. Bathrooms were clean. Cons: Horrible veg food. Expensive food. Ill maintained premises. No nearby tourist attractions. Sorry didn't take any pictures of the property. Didn't find worth.
