This is a Bavarian style hotel in Shepherdstown West Virginia. It's located overlooking the beautiful river valley. Food is good, with a real wiener schnitzel and wheat beers. The conference facilities are fine with the exception of the WIFI which is really slow.
This restaurant came highly recommended by several people so we made reservations.

I have had experience myself with the feeling of places being haunted (Harper's Ferry, for instance) but nothing of this sort at the Bavarian Inn. I agree with the previous poster who noted that the nearby Antietam Battlefield could very well have some. I know I encountered some very "interesting" experiences at Gettysburg, also. I think the scenes of such horrible battles are rife with this.

Yes we do allow scooters for the handicapped, but please be aware, not all or our rooms are handicapped accessible. We do have handicapped rooms in our Schwartzwald building and one of our Chalets overlooking the Potomac is accessible. Our dining area is handicapped accessible as is our Infinity Pool, which is open from May through September. If we can answer any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
