The campground managers were very nice and helpful at check-in, which was much appreciated because it was the first time we had been car camping in AGES! Got a bundle of wood from them, but the wood was damp... so getting the fire going was a challenge. It eventually took and the evening's tone was set as cozy in our... More

We tent camp, and quite a bit, all up and down the east coast. The field sites overlooking Seneca Rocks are simply amazing (and I generally do not like field camping). The wooded loop sites are just ordinary, though. In the field at night the moon reflects off Seneca Rocks and it is a surreal experience, and the crowd is... More

We camped in one of the walk to sites. Lot 49. Very private with a view of Seneca Rock right outside our tent. The only reason I don't give this campground five stars is the lack of toilet paper in the outhouse our last two days, no big deal since we were prepared but really a simple thing to maintain.

We loved this campground. It mostly had to do with how friendly everyone was. The staff went out if their way for us. Connie was great and made sure we had plenty of extension cords and toilet paper and firewood. Overall great experience and planning on staying there next year. :-)

I stayed at Seneca Shadows Campground recently while hiking in the Spruce Knob Wilderness area. We stayed at a tent site and it was a solid setup. They have designated tent pads comprised of soft gravel, a fire pit, and picnic table per tent site. Showers and outhouse were also well-maintained. I recommend hiking Spruce Knob while you're there and... More

my wife and I have stayed here 3 times in the last 6 yrs, we stay for about 5 days each visit. the walk in sites have an exceptional view of Seneca Rocks, especially as the sun sets. Some of the the walk in sites are a bit close to one another, so we carefully choose our site so that... More

We stayed for 10 days. My Husband and I would like to thank Connie "camp worker" for her compassate service (helped my husband do to a medical problem) and wellingness to help us when we needed help. Thanks to Chris "camp worker" who was so friendly and helpful. Always stoped to say hi and helped us also by telling us... More

We stayed in site 41 in the "walk in" tent area. The site is a double, so it has two tent pads and two picnic tables. The view of seneca rocks was amazing from that site. The site is a "walk to" site, but it's literally 20 ft from the nearest parking area, so we still kept our coolers and... More

No complaints whatsoever about this campground. My husband and I camped for two nights at Seneca Shadows. Despite the open field tent area that provides great views of Seneca Rocks, we reserved a wooded site for our trip. I'm really glad that we made that decision because the wooded sites offer a lot of privacy. Bath house in our section... More

We go to seneca shadows camp ground a few times a year, though for me and husband its a 3 hour drive to get there; its totally worth it. Beautiful views of the Seneca rocks, especially if you get a camp site on top of mountain in the open field. Moon shines beautifully on the rocks at night. The sites... More

“Group site D does not have a view, but is closest to the restroom. Easy walk into town”

“I don't think you can really go wrong here. The "walk to" tent sites have the best views, but little shade. The other loops from what I saw looked good as well. They seemed to have more shade, but no view. The sites are all good size and spread out enough that you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor.”
