Don't rent 202 there is black mold moved us to 204 heater never shut off room was hot, shower water has a funny smell. Room had a sweet smell probably won't stay there again. Bed was comfortable I do have to say. But do think the state health dept does need to check it out for the mold issues.

It's ok for a one night stay. A lot of parking and close to restaurants. Rooms are clean. Complimentary breakfast is included. Staff is relatively friendly and the place was overall a plain but comfortable stay. $75 charged for the one night I stayed there was too expensive for the type of hotel.

This is a classic old motor hotel -- a two-storey with rooms with giant picture windows looking over a big parking lot, mostly empty because the restaurant that shares the lot is boarded up. The rooms are old, our king size bed was soft, the TV is anything but hi-def, BUT the room was clean, without smells or mould, and... More

This was a cheap hotel so I did not expect much. However the ratings are fairly high so I thought it was going to be ok. When I got into the room it was pretty dumpy, the furnishings were beat up and the upholstery was nasty stained and greasy looking. The problem came when I went down to my continental... More

This is a retraction of my 2011 review on the "Morgantown Econo Lodge" page. It was meant to be for "Econo Lodge Coliseum" (technically in Star City, but considered Morgantown by alumni), so I'm re-posting it here. We stayed at the Econo Lodge Coliseum for Homecoming for many years, and our Alumni Band friends always knew where to find us.... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful with directions and things to do in town. The hotel was very accommodating to all the bikers that converged into this area for the 5 day Mountainfest. They had water for the bikers in the lobby and also towels for cleaning our bikes. They supplied water and area for washing our bikes too.... More

I was very impressed with this hotel! It was late at night and we were checked in with ease. The rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. Price was not bad either. We had to get 2 adjoining rooms and they accommodated us very well.

The EconoLodge was not our first choice for a hotel in Morgantown; however, we were so glad that we found it. It's an older hotel, but you will not find cleaner rooms anywhere. They smelled fresh and clean upon walking in. The beds are very comfortable. The kingsize beds had 5 or 6 pillows. The air conditioning was working as... More
