Took my 6 year old granddaughter and 8 year old grandson, who were so excited before and even more after, wanting to go back soon, We had a tour guide and he was a retired teacher who related with the kids enabling them to not only learn but to have fun. There was also a kind young guy who takes care...

We stayed 2 nights in the caboose. This is a real caboose that has a great shower and all self catering amenities that you would expect in any self catering place. The main double bed is formed from the sofa but I found it very comfortable. The venue is really nice and the owners that run it are very nice....

I've rented a cabin here twice, both times with family for a single night's stay, because we wanted the comforts of a home and to cook our own meals. The cabins are comfortable and very clean, if a little dark and minimal. Very picturesque, with lovely porches to relax on. But do be aware that the hours are peculiar, to...

Visited with 4 grandkids 5-8 years of age. We were on our way cross country and thought it would be an interesting spot to break up a days travel. They loved it! The staff could not have been more friendly and warm. Great petting zoo and hands on experience of 19th century farm life. Unique and one of a kind...

This is our second time visiting and staying at Heritage Farm. The first time was in 2013 when my nephew got married in the Log Church (beautiful!) and had his wedding reception a few doors down in Heritage Hall. The entire wedding weekend was so enjoyable & memorable. In 2014, we ventured back to Heritage Farm for my niece's graduation...

We stayed at the Holly Berry over the weekend for a family wedding. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend staying here for large groups. Every family unit rented their own home, but everything was still centralized and within walking distance to each other. We were here for a wedding, but I could definitely see a family...

We stayed in the Strawberry Inn at the Heritage Farm Museum and Village. The exterior looks great—real log and chink siding and covered wrap-around porch. Inside, however, we were so turned off by the grimy kitchen and by the hair in the tub that we spent as much time as possible outside on the porch. We booked the house for...

We stopped at the WV rest stop to get some info on what was good to tour..we picked up some hotel coupons and headed for the Best Western, they have an outdoor pool. We walked from our hotel to the Out Back Steak House for dinner. This was so nice, as my husband and I were ready to get out...

We did not stay, but rather took a guided tour. Our tour guide was Don, he was very knowledgeable, entertaining and informative. He will tailor the tour to your pace. He will tell/teach you as much as your willing to learn, without lecturing to you. The place is full of tons of interesting artifacts. We learned a lot and had...

My husband and I wanted an unplugged, get-out and get-dirty, vacation for our two elementary-school aged, city-dwelling, apartment-bound, X-Box loving sons. A good friend recommended Heritage Farm and Museum. After watching the Hatfield & McCoy Documentary narrated by Kevin Costner and filmed on Heritage Farm, we jumped at the idea. We traveled to Huntington, West Virginia from San Francisco, California...
