I have stayed at the Lodge the last two times i have driven south. The rooms I stayed in were clean, quiet and well equipped with microwave with freezer compartment and an easy chair. The rooms both had lovely lakeviews. The restaurant was open on my first visit but closed last October when i stayed. The Lodge is about 25...

Being a West Virginian, I will always say Great things about our state parks and lodges, because I have visited most of them and have not been disappointed. The Tygart Lake Lodge is very nice with great views of Tygart Lake. This a small lodge that provides peace and quiet. Our room #4 was a nice size with 2 beds,...

This was our first trip to Tygart Lake State Park's lodge. The lodge is small but it was very quiet and just perfect for a quiet get a way. Being the off season, the lake's water level was very low. The marina and swimming area are, of course, closed, so I can't give a review on that aspect. But having...

We stayed at Tygart Lake over Christmas. Our cabin was large and nicely furnished. To top it off, there was a lovely Christmas tree. The kitchen was roomy and easy to work in, but minimally furnished with equipment. I brought a couple of baking pans, as WV park cabins usually don't have a lot. The living space was large. Our...

It's not fancy and reminds me of a ski lodge. Our room was clean and large We had a balcony overlooking the lake. The Restuarant is now closed but there is fresh coffee and a basket of goodies. People and staff very friendly

We stayed at the campground for the weekend. Weather wasn't great but trying to park a camper in the camp spots they have chosen is impossible and nothing like the map. We went to have breakfast at the lodge and were told the resturant had closed. I stated they might want to make that known on thir website and the...

We stayed at cabin #4, it was nice and clean, only problem was there was no air conditioning, and it was very humid during our stay. The kitchen had your basic utensils , pots, pans, kitchen ware. The bathroom was clean only problem was the shower didn't drain quickly . Lots of windows

The sink had numerous varieties of bugs present - not roaches or ants. Some of the bugs flew and these really small bugs around the sink could actually hop pretty high. Also had issue with Hot Water handle and shower diverter in Room 18, Plus the toilet would not shut off unless you jiggled the handle after every use. On...

I visited this park since I was driving by. It's a nice park, nothing I would call spectacular. It has plenty of places to picnic while looking over the "beach". The beach is what everyone use to call a swim hole but still nice. It's nice that you can swim with lifeguards on duty. There are ducks that liked to...

We spent a night in tygart state park lodge, on our way to Kentucky. The place in very nice, the view is beautiful and the people very kind. The room was clean and large, the diner good at Annie's and the breakfast very good! We enjoyed very much the quiet setting and my husband was happy when he saw a...
