My sons and I just returned home from a week-end adventure on the Hatfield McCoy trail and must say that the Mountain Breeze is the place to stay. Easy access to trails, food and gas and the folks here go out of there way to make you feel like family. Our rooms were very clean, fresh and comfortable. Granted its no Hilton... More

My husband and son spend Father's Day together on a trip to Hatfield Mccoy Trails every year. They used to stay at a nice chain motel but it has closed due to flooding. So we had to find another place for them to stay. The internet site makes this place look decent and at least clean. Well let me tell... More

Very Clean rooms, wifi is weak but adequate. Poor cell signal in Gilbert overall. Can ride to Rockhouse trailhead from hotel. Friendly staff and a good place to stay of you don't have a rig to camp or its winter. Close to road and a bit noisy in the morning as are most of Gilbert lodging. Security is an issue... More

A cheap, rundown, filthy little place that is walpapers with scenery paper to cover the nasty. Beds are hard, uncomfortable with cheap linens. This is one of those places that you are forced to stay at because there isn't much else in the area. Location is okay, NO CELL SERVICE, fair internet reception, rooms are fair size, private street entrances... More

We have an annual tradition that consists of traveling over 5 hours to Gilbert WV to hit the Hatfield McCoy Trails and the only place we stay is at the Mountain Breeze. It’s no Holiday Inn and that’s what makes it so nice. The owner Mr. Simpson has become like family. My two boys love riding the trails during the... More

I stayed 1 night. There was used soap in the shower, the linoleum floor was ripped in several places, the commode ran all night, the sheets were still damp, and don't get me started on the spiders and other crawling insects!! NEVER AGAIN!!

This was our first time back to Mountain Breeze in a year. Our room had the heater cover on the floor and we could see out into the parking lot through the unit. The paper holders in the bathroom had been pulled off the walls and never replaced ,nor the holes patched. The towel racks were hanging off the walls... More

We stopped at this motel when we visited Gilbert West Virginia. The motel was clean. comfortable and quiet, They had cable tv and free internet. You will need to bring your own hair dryer. If we are in Gilbert again we would not hesitate to stay at the Mountain Breeze Motel. Please note that the speed limit in Gilbert is... More
