After my very first "road trip" all by myself, which was, in itself, a rather nerve wracking experience, arriving at the Highlawn Inn and being greeted by Sandy and her lovely kitties I felt as if I were entering a sublime oasis of calm and elegance :) The room I stayed in, "Victorian Suite" was beautiful! The bed itself was...

Charming decor. Outstanding breakfasts with tantalizing breakfasts and scrumptious sweets. Extremely clean. Total relaxation. Tranquil surroundings. Perfect getaway in a lovely, picturesque village that caters to spa goers. My favorite getaway.

Have stayed at the Highlawn Inn in the Bathkeepers Quarters (lovely private house) for many years. It is always a wonderful break. Sandy is an incredible and accomodating hostess and her breakfasts are legendary. The Bathkeepers Quarters is private and sweet, with an incredible veranda and a good value for having an entire house with two bedrooms and bathrooms and...

My wife and I choose the Highlawn Inn from internet B&B listings for Berkeley Springs, WV just because it looked good, was affordable, and had a nice room available when we wanted it. Someone had recommended Berkeley Springs as a nice, relaxing, place to go for my wife's birthday. We arrived on a Sat. afternoon to find they were hosting...

We revisited the Highlawn Inn last week. This time my partner & I took my brother and sister-in-law to relax with us after a stressful family event. As always, Sandy, the owner, made us feel welcome and did everything possible to make our visit pleasant. We have stayed at this B&B 4-5 times over the past several years, sometimes just...

We stayed at the inn for a quick getaway and did not find it (and the bed in particular) to be very comfortable. The furniture in general looks to be slightly shabby and in need of cleaning and updating, as do the towels and bedding. If you are looking for something with typical modern amenities (central a/c, shampoo & conditioner...

We carefully consider every review and felt compelled to respond to these comments. If there are issues we can address we are happy to do so. The lady spoke to us after the first night and said the bed was too hard for her but it wouldn't have been a problem if she were not pregnant. Our mattresses are firm...

My wife and I planned a trip up to Berkeley Springs and couldn't be happier with the stay at the Highlawn Inn. The staff was extremely friendly and wanted to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Sandy called in dinner reservations for us and made sure we got the best table at Panorama. We asked them to chill a...

My partner and I have been staying at Highlawn Inn for about 10 years and have never been disapppointed. Sandy and Tim are warm, friendly hosts and Sandy's breakfast buffet never disappoints: beautiful, hot, homemade and delicious! The rooms are Victorian with antiques but many rooms have hot tubs for self-indulgence. The large front porch on the main house is...

We spent one evening at the Highlawn Inn and enjoyed a special wine dinner with the wine company owner and other guests of the Inn. The food for dinner and breakfast was great! The service was excellent. The owner of the wine company and his wife were a kind, generous, and entertaining couple who enjoy their work and sharing their...

We received a reservation request at 8:46am 12/9/09 and sent a reply at 9:51am 12/9/09 explaining our policy of taking lodging reservations along with New Years Eve dinner reservations (which is also stated in our guest policies that the customer had to acknowledge that they read to request a reservation) the policy reads "on special dinner dates, lodging reservations are...
