This is the second August in a row we have spent at Sun Mountain Lodge, and we love this place. The Mt. Robinson rooms are spectacular and spacious with private decks overlooking the valley. The tub is large and opens to the room where you can see out the sliding glass door to nature beyond. The bed is very comfortable....

I spent some time at the sun mountain lodge this summer! The most fun I had during my stay was the horseback rides that are offered by JD outfitters! The horses were super gentle and the wranglers were friendly! The cowboy dinners were a lot of fun! I went on a couple of them because I had so much fun!...

We booked two nights at Sun Mountain Lodge on the recommendation of a friend from home, who had recently been there with her daughter. You need at least that full day to take advantage of the many activities offered at this plush resort hotel on the eastern edge of the Northern Cascade Mountains--hiking, horseback riding, fly fishing, swimming.... The view--especially...

We stayed in a cabin on a weekday special rate, which alleviated some of the price concerns that other commentators have raised. The room was beautiful, especially the fireplace and bathroom. The sunsets over the mountains were spectacular, and we enjoyed wandering the property day and night. The nearby hikes and canoeing on Lake Patterson were also treats. Wonderful stay.

A group of 4 of us stayed here for two niights while on a fishing trip. I've stayed here many times over the past 30 years and have always been impressed with the quality of the rooms and the service. This trip not so much. I truly hope this trip was an anomaly and not the new norm for this...

Hello Mr. Phillips: Seems we hit a bit of slump and I am so very sorry! This year has been a bit of a disaster with the fires, winds and floods but I hate to use that as an excuse. I'm meeting with a variety of managers to make sure we are on our game. The bugs I can see...

I don't think I have ever paid so much for so little. Our nightly room rate with tax was almost $360 for a dated room with a partially blocked view. I felt really ripped off, and in all my years of traveling, I have never felt that about any hotel. The grounds of the lodge are spacious and pleasant, but...

Dear SeattleBee: Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. You were in our Robinson wing and I'm a bit lost about the partial view. We are in the midst of replacing some soft good furnishings, but the case goods are all hand made here in the valley along with the metal curtains rods, mirror...

Some high points and some average points. Our rate was $234 per night. No TV, room service or mini-bar. My husband was in a cast so he was limited in activities. We expected a more professional staff.

We have been to Sun Mountain Lodge many times and find it an ideal spot for us. Basically it combines great outdoor activities with very modern, upscale accommodations. It is as the name implies, on a mountain top with amazing vistas from many of the rooms of the Methow Valley and Mt. Robson. There are plenty of deer and birds...

This is easily one of the favorite places we've stayed. Wonderful rooms in a beautiful setting with plenty to do. Our room (Mt. Robinson king) had a balcony overlooking the Methow Valley, a fireplace, whirlpool tub and a sitting area. There are 2 heated pools, tennis courts, a game room, hiking trails, horseback riding and a spa. I sat outside...

We stayed at the lodge for three nights, It was a glorious place to stay. The lodge itself was gorgeous inside. The restaurant was very nice. Be sure you get a table by the window because the view is breathtaking. Good food, great wine, wonderful service. Take some time to sit in one of the hot tubs outside and take...
