I stayed at Sun Mountain Lodge with my college aged daughter for one night as our final stop on our journey traveling across the country to Seattle. I did not know what to expect and was so pleasantly surprised. Everything about this place is quiet, reserved and elegant. I would go as far to say that it is a magical...

My wife and I stayed here on the recommendation of some friends and we were not disappointed. In fact, we enjoyed our two-day stay so much that we extended to a third day. The lodge itself is made up of the main lodge and two adjacent buildings. (There are also free standing "cabins" on Patterson Lake which are really more...

This review is for the restaurant only. We had a dinner for a family reunion of around 25 people there last week and the service was horrible.I understand that large parties can be a challenge to serve, but over three hours for burgers, meatloaf and some horrible shrimp! This is not gourmet cuisine by any stretch of the imagination. The...

We arrived on our 60th Anniversary, after being re-married two days before. I booked the honeymoon suite, but we were asked if we would agree to give up that room for an upgrade to their finest and largest suite. The reason: there was a wedding party checking in and would like the honeymoon suite. Lucky us! WE WERE TREATED LIKE...

We were only in town one night but the resort was was wonderful! We were greeted with warm smiles from the hotel staff who seemed genuinely interested in making our stay the best it could be. The rooms were clean and the bed & pillows were exactly to my liking. We took the Cowboy dinner tour that was a little...

We recently visited Sun Mountain Lodge to celebrate Father's Day. We booked the room using a Living Social coupon and stayed two nights. The staff was very easy to work with and made the reservation easily. I also booked a private fly fishing lesson for my husband the Friday that we arrived. He had a great time learning to fish...

We selected SML based on reviews by Fodor, rating it in the top 100 in 2014. It is beautiful - from the hilltop location to the rustic, yet well maintained, beautifully decorated lodge & guest rooms. And while they acknowledged it was our 25th anniversary when we checked in, that was it. No bottle of champagne to the room or...

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was clean, and quiet. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious. The only thing missing was a TV, our friends booked it so we didn't realize that none of the rooms have TV's in them. Not a problem though as there is lots to see outside and a pool...

Greatly appreciate your kind comments - we do have 5 rooms with televisions. The views a bit restricted, hence the televisions!

This place is beautiful and peaceful. There are many activities and the staff is so nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A great site for a romantic getaway or a business retreat. It's a little expensive that's the only downside. We would go back for sure.

Thank you so much for your kind comments, and for staying with us. I saw your mention of rates...you might want to check them again - of more recent date I decided our rates were a bit high and have reduced all of them for the entire year and 2016. Honest! Right now, Sunday through Thursday for all June and...

I took advantage of a Living Social special and booked a 2 night stay. It was worth upgrading to a king size bed instead of the double queen bed room they were advertising. This was the perfect getaway place for a long relaxing weekend! The drive from Seattle took about 4 1/2 hrs along the beautiful scenic North Cascade Highway....
