Walking hand in hand, you see an eagle soar overhead. You stop to skip stones across the water. Four, five, six skips. A perfect moment suspended in time. A story for dinner. This is the place where memories are made, where families come back year after year. Like having your own waterfront cottage, only better. Cartwheels on the grass. A game of badminton at sunset. Leather couches and a glass of Washington state Syrah. The sweet succulent bite of fresh oysters. Rooms that make you say “wow” when you open the door. Can this hotel be only two hours from Seattle? It can. Welcome to Alderbrook Resort & Spa.

Nice View while enjoying lunch with waterfront close by. Great place to get away from it all and relax. I recommend that you get one of the small cabins that are located closer to the water. The staff are there to ensure you enjoy your stay.

On our recent visit to Alderbrook, we decided to invite some family up and stay in a cabin.
We started off with a few bumps in the road but the staff at Alderbrook quickly made everything right and then some. They went over the top to accommodate us and assure our stay was a pl

Normally for the last few years I have avoided resorts due to the high room cost and not feeling like I’m getting my money’s worth out of the experience. Mostly I have been going to luxury air bnb’s but this last weekend I decided to splurge on my husbands 40th and I was truly bl

Lovely spot. Lovely location. Nice layout. Accommodating staff. I was, however, disappointed at the condition of the cabin we rented. The bathroom exhaust fans were black from filth, the toilet seat dirty and needing to be cleaned or replaced. The dresser in room in poor con

Do you suggest Uber or Lyft from the Seatac airport to Alderbrook? If not, are there car companies you work directly with?
You really should rent a car and stop in Gig Harbor on the way. After you cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge take the City Center/Wollochet Dr NW exit and head east down the hill, to the waterfront. There are several restaurants and lots of charming shops (art, clothing, and outdoor). There is also the fairly new Harbor History Museum. On your return from the Alderbrook Resort and Spa you might want to stop in Tacoma and visit the LeMay America's Car Museum, the Chihuly Museum of Glass (includes free outdoor exhibits), the Tacoma Art Museum, or the Washington State History Museum. Tacoma also has some wonderful restaurants on the waterfront on Ruston Way. This is also a great place for a stroll.

Hello! Do the cottages have soaking tubs or just the guest rooms? Thank you!
Just a stand up shower! We had to bathe our baby in the kitchen sink.
