From the moment we arrived we had excellent service. The host was friendly, informative, and enthusiastic. When our fireplace didn't work, the OWNER came over to fix it himself. He even shared the history of the castle with us. The house keeper and landscape keeper were wonderful people. Hard working, kind, and always a smile on their face. Breakfast was...

Beautiful property on American Lake. Location is immaculate with a beautiful sunken English garden. Interior is amazing, period furniture, just beautiful inside and out. Bed and Breakfast, with access to restaurants in Lakewood/Tacoma for dinner. Breakfast was fantastic - can be served to your room or you can take it in the Great Hall. Highly recommend staying here for a...

Beautiful, wonderfully restored castle. The weather was warm and walking around the grounds and enjoying the sunken garden made the visit even better. Breakfast was delicious, but there was too much food to eat. The server who also provided maid service was gracious and helpful. The owner was kind enough to answer our questions about the history of the castle....

this place is hard to find unless you know where you're going. was here for a friend's wedding the other night. As a venue this place was gorgeous for an outdoor wedding in the garden. Pretty view of the water. However, I guess people aren't allowed down to the water, only the bride and groom were allowed for pictures. Not...

Thank you for the lovely review. During weddings/events we don't allow event guests to go down to the water. B&B guests are able to go down and enjoy the water during their stay.

We spent one night at this amazing Castle and it was the experience of a lifetime. They truly make you feel at home. There was complimently snack and drinks in he room. Amazing staff, beautiful location, comfortable accommodations and fabulous breakfast. The owners allow you free range to all of the house (minus those occupied by other visitors). It was really neat to look at the unoccupied rooms, the library, meditation room, etc. So many antiques. You feel like you stepped back in time. The English garden was so pretty and lovely...

Had a one night stay in August 2016. We had the Blue Room...bed was very comfortable. There was a wedding that night but we had been assured that it would be quiet by 9:00pm, I had my doubts when I heard the DJ start up but true to their promise...we didn't hear a thing after 8:45pm. Breakfast was good, more...

I made reservations about 2 months out from bringing my GF up here to propose to her. Knowing how important this trip was, I made sure everything was planned out ahead of time. I emailed Thornwood Castle ahead of time with questions about our visit. They were very prompt with the responses. When we arrived, we were greeted outside by...

We had our wedding in the garden at Thornewood in the middle of August and it was absolutely beautiful and perfect! The natural beauty of the building and the grounds makes it so that very little decoration is required on the wedding party's part. The staff was very helpful when we required assistance, but otherwise stayed out of the way....

I loved this beautiful historical castle. The room was lovely. Service was great. Was greeted at the door and showed to our room. I wanted a tour of the castle in the morning before we left. No one was around, but Amador the gardener showed us around and gave us a history on the property and castle. His wife and...
