We stopped in for lunch a half hour before closing (2pm) and had a great meal. The service was timely and responsive, the beer cold, the fish and chips hot and delicious. We sat comfortably on the back deck, shaded by the sun, overlooking the ferry terminal. What more could you ask? Oh, the price? Very reasonable. While we only...

I wasn't expecting a lot from an $85 hotel room in downtown Port Townsend: I hoped it would be clean and I hoped it wouldn't smell like mildew. The Belmont Inn exceeded my expectations! Our room had fabulously high ceilings and huge windows overlooking Water Street, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were much nicer than at your standard...

This property looks good on the surface and online; However the condition of the "hotel" is in need of some upgrades. A television in the room would be a good start. The carpet was stained and the pictures attached will show other disappointments. The check in was OK, but the password for the wifi did not work, so no wifi....

It's not the fanciest place in town, but the view can't be beat. We were travelling with teens and stayed in Room 4. For us, the view was incredible, for my teens, having semi-private space was great. It was very comfortable and I really wish we'd been there on a night the restaurant was open. Thanks -- If I'm in...

Very disappointed in our experience and will not return. We had reservations for 7pm. Only to find they were out of oysters (the reason we came) as well as being out of clams and mussels. Not a good start. We all ordered the mixed vegetables as a side dish which were described as a medley of green beans, asparagus and...

We were invited to spend the night with friends at the Belmont. I knew it was a old historic building. I have stayed at the Manressa Castle, so I knew the room would be vintage. We had Room 3 with the Loft, we slept in the loft and our friends had the bed down stairs. I had no problem standing...

My wife and I love visiting Port Townsend, one of only four historic, Victorian seaport towns in all of America. We like it so much, that about 30 years ago, we came very close to buying what is now called the Old Consulate Inn, a very successful, and highly rated historic B&B. We have visited Port Townsend dozens of times...

Every time we visit Port Townsend we have dinner at the Belmont. This trip we decided to stay in the hotel to see what it's like. First off, it you reserve off the hotel web site you pay in advance and have 72 hours before arrival to cancel. When you get here you have to go to the restaurant to...

Had lunch on the deck overlooking Port Townsend bay . I had the Reuben and spouse the crab melt. Really tasty and the prices surprisingly reasonable compared to the "pub" down the street that was about $5.00 more per entee

Dinner at the Belmont. Rick, and his staff rolled out the royal carpet for me and my guest. We were met and greeted by Rick, the owner, and our waitress for the night was Naomi. We were treated like Royals. hand picked corner table with view. Rick introduced his menu with such grace and elegance. I truly wanted to sample...

“If you really want to stay here, and can spend the extra money, go for either room 3 or 4 with the beachfront and water views -- and hope they have improved the housekeeping. And ask if the leg on the hassock in room 3 has been fixed yet, and have they unstopped the sink.”
