The ranch is located on a quiet stretch of Rufus Lake (Columbia River) and offers an excellent opportunity for a getaway. Relaxation is possible in the large lodge, and the view is lovely. The food was fine. Unfortunately, however, the experience was not quite what we had hoped. The small room was not clean (lots of dust), as was also true of the lodge, and the grounds are quite cluttered. No effort was made to provide opportunities enjoyed by summer guests.
I was planning a family gathering to include viewing the Coulee Dam light show. Some family members needed a place to stay for three nights, others for only one or two. Although the distance from Coulee Dam to the ranch was farther than I wanted to drive after the light show, those who would be doing the driving thought it was reasonable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Having all meals included in the price for a room was especially appealing to us, as was the description of other activities available at the ranch. We enjoyed archery, swimming, paddle boards, and the host family's pets. There was a comfortable deck just outside the dining room from which to view the river while sipping an early morning cup of coffee; in the evening it was an equally pleasant place to roast marshmallows and make S'mores. The staff were friendly and helpful—they even delayed dinner on our first night when we let them know ahead of time that we would not arrive until after the usual serving time. Everyone in our group, a dozen people from pre-teen children to grandparents and varied ages in-between, was delighted with our visit. It was the perfect place for our family to relax and spend time together.…
A beautiful place to unplug, relax and enjoy every moment. Archery, tomahawk and knife throwing, kayaking, swimming, giant chess and checkers! Amazing room! Amazing Staff! We loved every minute and will definitely go back!
This unplugged getaway has all the comforts you need without sacrificing rustic ranch feel. The staff are genuine, friendly, and eager to serve. It really feels like you are visiting your extended family. The facilities allow for a great balance of relaxation and recreation and the food is delicious. All this in a beautiful setting along the Columbia River in the wilderness of the Okanogan Valley.
This was an amazing getaway for our family of six. So much to do for everyone. No one was bored and they all agreed that we need to return. Debbie, Hannah, Nicholas, Christian and the entire staff were all so welcoming and friendly! Thank you for a wonderful time; we plan on visiting again in the near future.
