We had seen the inn on previous trips to the Long Beach Peninsula but it had been fully booked. This time we booked one night online before arriving. We chose Elsa's room. Often an inn will look great from the outside but disappoint once you get through the door. This is not the case at Charles Nelson Guest House. The...

This bed and breakfast is the best I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay there as they were full, but our best friends were there and the hostel asked us to come to breakfast out of the goodness of her heart. The house is very welcoming and beautifully decorated. The grounds are equally lovely. There is...

I stayed at Charles Nelson Guest House last week while traveling for business. I was very impressed by how well the owners cover all of the little details. The whole place is very nicely done, from the perfectly done garden to the comfortable common spaces. My room (Nancy's room) was bright and cheerful in the afternoon sun when I checked...

We spontaneously decided to stay at the Charles Nelson Guest House last weekend in Ocean Park, Wa. What a special place! Ginger, the proprietor, was incredibly gracious in making our stay "over the top" special. The setting along Willapa Bay, the beautiful house and grounds, and spectacular breakfasts were beyond our expectation. We will definitely visit this B & B...

We were looking for a comfortable, welcoming, clean, quiet, and restful place to "get away" for a couple days. We definitely found it here! We got a few bonuses in the deal too. Ginger's gourmet breakfasts were out of this world! She gave us some excellent suggestions of where to go and places to see. The home was beautifully decorated,...

Great experience here, beautifully appointed rooms, and just the right amount of attention from the hosts -- not too cloying but they were always around if you needed anything. The breakfasts were outstanding and included several fresh juices, fresh fruit, eggs, scones one day, blueberry waffles another, we even had oysters, a local specialty. Excellent.

The location is perfect, close enough to shopping and restaurants and a fantastical wildlife preserve. It's even close to Long Beach, but it partakes of none of Long Beach's tackiness. We tried some of the local restaurants, and they were good, but they don't compare to Ginger's cooking. You won't go away hungry after breakfast, but more importantly, you may go...

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing stay at this B&B. It was clean, comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. Ginger made us delicious breakfasts and by special order, fried up some fresh local oysters for us and made her famous salmon hash. She also made a scrumptious peach cobbler one night which was great to have after...

There just aren't enough superlatives to characterize this B&B. The setting is really nice, close enough to Long Beach to enjoy the kite festival, or the Blues and Seafood festival, or the Jazz and Oysters festival, or whatever else is happening, but secluded enough to be quiet and contemplative. Ginger's breakfasts are a wonder (you won't be needing lunch!), and...

This truly is the best B&B ever. Ginger and Kurt are delightful hosts, and their B&B is a delightful and charming escape. Ginger's breakfasts are TO DIE FOR!!! We go there at least once a year, and she always has some new delicious creation to offer, but we do request our favorites too, which include salmon hash with scrambled eggs,...
