We arrived late on a Thursday night and were booked in Heron Cove. We found the place with no issues with the help of Google Maps (for future reference, look for the fire hydrant)! We easily checked in by calling the property managers, who were just lovely! The airline had lost my husband's luggage so they helped us out by... More

We arrived at the Salish Seaside Escapes having fled an eastern heat wave and once there had the joy of sleeping with the doors wide open as cool Pacific breezes soon had us convinced we were in another world, and we were. There is a large flat screen TV with many channels to surf and a great sound system as... More

The cottage was beautiful, cozy, and perfect for us. Most importantly, the owners were great and helped us out of a jam. After a long day of hiking we left our dog at the cottage to rest while we went to explore Friday Harbor. After a ferry delay we were not able to get back on time and were worried... More

My wife and I came to the Salish for some time away and for some study. We loved our stay. There was such great hospitality and a willingness to take care of us while we were there. We stayed in Heron Cove which felt more like a treehouse than a cottage. It was so beautiful and intriguing. Even after a... More

Amazing, unique, peaceful setting for our stand-alone Eagle's Nest cottage with as many things to discover inside, as outside. Stained glass sky light and window in bathroom. The shelves throughout were stocked with books and unexpected little treasures. Kitchen and living area looked out across the beautiful San Juans. Gas fireplace made it so cozy to snuggle up inside and... More

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Seal Point Cottage the first weekend of May 2016. The cottage is huge, homey, clean and right on the water! We were so busy enjoying the island we did not get a chance to enjoy the hot tub until Sunday morning. That was lovely too. Sitting in the hot tub, looking... More

I purchased an "escape" for myself and my husband. I thought this would be a romantic trip away...our private cottage with a bottle of wine and no teenager. Before I get into our cottage review I'll start with a review of the East Sound area. Beware if you are there on a Sunday. There isn't much open and if you... More

We are sorry you did not enjoy your time on the island. Orcas Island is a beautiful place, but definitely not city living. I know the new caretakers were trying to move in quietly, but we are sorry if they disturbed you. They are in fact awesome property managers, and we are so glad to have them. Screech Owl Swoop... We recently stayed at the Heron Cove cottage. The experience was disappointing on many levels especially after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. We were given the stay as Living Social Deal for a Christmas present. First trouble we ran into was trying to book it. When we called all the available dates for our deal were booked. Since this... We are so sorry you were not happy with your stay. As for booking, living social is competitive. If you wait until the last minute to book your stay, many will have booked well before you. But we did have plenty of room through the month of May and were happy to upgrade you to a more expensive cottage. Heron... More

My husband and I recently went to the Salish Seaside Escapes and we were very excited to go as we had read all the great reviews. Wow! An amazing place. Looking forward to returning soon and bringing out the family! The cottages are nice and well appointed. The customer service was spectacular and the views and the Island are tremendously beautiful. I highly recommend. The photo is the sunset from my cottage.
