Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am currently staying @ the Jackson's Motor Inn, and have been staying for the past few days. The staff are extremely professional and very friendly. Free wi-fi, and there are no issues with the speed of the wifi it's very fast. The rooms are extremely clean, and the hotel is in an excellent location - very close to the city. If you are ever in Adelaide I would definitely recommend that you stay at this excellent hotel 🏨

Room was basic , had a no smoking sign on door but it was definitely smelling of smoke when we opened the door! Very noisy at night , drunken groups of people , shouting and you could hear the road too, Loading car up this emonig. And a drunken guy walked past commuting on weather etc and slurring words, Didn’t feel safe here , so wouldn’t recommend , especially if you’re solo travelling!

The definition of a seedy motel. The police taped car parked outside, the creep loitering by the smoke entry & the doors off the hinges on some of the rooms should have been a warning. Room smelt like a crackhouse. Bed smelt like a sweaty bloke. Weird musty smells by the pool, which was also right by our room. Internal light with external switch. No designated carparks. Dated & poor quality interior & exterior (that seriously needs a council & building inspection). Dirty cups. Minimal privacy with window dressings not well fitted, no soundproofing between rooms & door lock that needs teasing to work. Doesn't feel at all safe, clean or quiet. Do not recommend staying here unless you're desperate, particularly if you have kids in tow. We would have gone elsewhere if it wasn't booked just for a quick overnight stay.

Would stronly advise against staying at this establishment. It was unclean, unsafe and nothing like the pictures you see on their website.Room tiny exposed open wires hanging from missing heat lamps that looked like they had caught fire, filthy carpet, horrid smell,no benches,1 wardrobe that had a wall insde so minimal space.Large cracks in all walls of bathroom. Double bed with single size quilt and no extra blankets or pillows quilt no cover. Lots of other guests had these issues also including blood on supposedly clean sheets and having to buy an air mattress to sleep on. Very misleading and disappointing after a 5 hour drive and no other alternatives.

Had to call a number at the front desk because no one was attending to new visitors. Room was filthy when we go into it. Marks all over the walls, hand prints visible on the tiles and stains on carpet and curtains. Room was “cleaned” after first night (the bed was poorly made” and they removed our towels that we had used once and did not replace them. This was noticed at night. Called reception to get towels but no one answered after multiple calls. No after hours number. No staff appeared to be on the property at night.

We stayed in a family room and was surprised it was on the 2nd floor as it was not mentioned in the advertisement. Had very hard time carrying luggage as there was no lift. Room was very spacious and had table, chairs, sofa, small fridge, microwave etc. Pool was not available on the day as it was closed for maintenance, which is not that great. Good for 1 or 2 nights but not for more than that.

Have stayed here a few years ago but since then after staying here this week it really has turned to crap. Shower door broken, had to clean shower from all the mould before we could shower. Carpet in room is smelly and putrid. Fence around pool area rusty and breaking off, if you cut yourself on it you would definitely need a tetanus shot. Smoke detector beeping. Requested down stairs 3 weeks before arrival as climbing stairs can be an issue for me, was told sorry that’s all we have as we didn’t read your request. If I knew elsewhere wasn’t already booked out we would have left. I know you get what you pay for but this place seriously needs a council and health department inspection. We definitely won’t be back.

One night was enough. Adequate, cheap. No frills. Newish shower recess but the vanity cabinet had bark off it. Mirror above had quite a bit of silver missing from the back. Butts, litter and weeds everywhere outside. One would expect this in Asia, not Adelaide. The pics of the pool area are genuine however the place is very run down. Jackson's no longer own it, that much is obvious.
