Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have Elite status with Best Western and was very very disappointed with this particular Property.
Outside is very NEGLECTED and needs a good Clean and Paint. The car park is filthy with rubbish and weeds. The pool was a disgustingly dirty and in poor shape..... would hate to think what you could catch if you went for a dip ! The room was reasonable and the bed was good.
This is the first Best Western that we have stayed in where we were asked to pay extra for Breakfast. Guess they missed the memo from Corporate about customer service.
At "Check In" the person working was not very helpful plus very difficult to understand and when we went to "Check Out" in the morning the Office wasn't even open which seemed to be par for the course.....Customers are a distant second in their way of thinking.
Would we stay here again...Don't Think So and Best Western should be ashamed to have their shingle hanging out the front. Corporate should do an unannounced visit sometime soon and work out what is going on with the only Best Western in Adelaide. Very Disappointed as every other Best Western we have stayed in either here in Australia and all over the USA we have enjoyed our experience.

Quiet and spacious rooms, although dated. Pool was refreshing on a hot day and reception was friendly. Limited amenities including no drinking water. Weird smell throughout the place, and air conditioning unit barely worked, spitting out black dust over the bed and making the room stuffy.

I stayed at the Best Western Adelaide Granada Motor Inn for 3 nights from Friday the 21st of February 2020.
When I checked into the Best Western Adelaide Granada Motor Inn, the lady at reception told me I had been upgraded to an "Executive Suite"
I think this consisted of an extra bed. A bit pointless when they knew I was on my own.
The carpets were dirty, but otherwise the room was very nice.
Even though the motel is on a main road, the rooms are far enough from the road that the noise is not a bother.
The brochure stated that Foxtel was available, however it seemed to had been disconnected. No big deal though.
The price was $339 for 3 nights, which I think is reasonable.
Overall I would give it 9 out of 10. 1 point deducted for the dirty carpet.
Would recommend.

A large room for the money. We stayed for three nights and were very happy. Rooms were modern and cleaned spotlessly daily. The road outside is a major truck route at night but our room was at the back of the complex and we heard little traffic.
The walls between the rooms are a little thin, we were woken one night by a baby crying but thin walls are a feature of most motels.
The location is great with a Mexican restaurant on-site, a large supermarket next door and several dining options across the road and within 5 minutes walk along the road. The motel is on a regular bus route into Adelaide if you want to get into town without the hassle of inner-city parking.
Next time we are in Adelaide, this will be our first choice.

Stayed here with my partner, walked in the door and couldn't find the light switch but once we did we found that 3 lights were blown, fridge was older than Jesus and shower was super touchy, 5mm between ice cold and boiling hot, towels were stained, hair dryer was luke warm, tried to enjoy the view and found bug poison on the window seal, pillows were as soft as a dish sponge, no allocation parking for a $137 a night Executive room it's the worst I've ever seen (I've stayed in $90 a night motels more accommodating). This place is missing alot of maintenance and house keeping.
My fave part was taking the keys back to reception.

Living with covid now for 2years you would think all accommodation providers would have lifted their housekeeping standards, not this hotel.

First room we got had a double bed mad with a saturated mattress underneath, was lucky there was someone in reception who changed the room straight away with no questions asked to a spare room for circumstances just like this? It was like management are happy to rent a substandard room and swap it out if you complain.

The rooms are lucky to have everything working, the lobby has the plark from the opening in the 1970's and the hotel looks to have received minimal up keep since then. Needs a good renervation with a higher housekeeping standards.

The room I ordered on very late notice was great, had everything I needed and was very affordable.
More importantly for me, the customer service from the lovely Ukrainian manager was amazing. She gave me a complimentary can of coke when I arrived two hours early, and a bottle of water when I checked out at 12PM. It was greatly appreciated. I hardly ever write reviews, but credit where credit is due. I'm a very happy customer and will absolutely stay there again. Thank you so much!

We have stayed at Granada quite a few times over the last 10+ years & have enjoyed our previous visits. BUT, not this time.
Upon entering our room, we couldn't help but notice a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke which took several days of open windows & doors & using our own deodoriser to dissipate. The staff approached that evening about the issue denied that they could smell anything! We also noticed a lot of smokers around on the top balcony, something that we had never noticed on our previous stays.
We also noticed a very wet patch on the carpet that took 2 days to dry out.
The bathroom had spots of mildew on the walls, particularly near the shower.
On the whole, our room looked 'tired' & not particularly clean.
We were several times disturbed very late at night or early morning by other noisy tenants, shouting/swearing, slamming doors & noisy cars.
In addition, the front of the building facing Portrush Rd was quite untidy with old rubbish on the ground.
Overall, a very disappointing experience that means we won't be staying there again. We wonder whether there has been a change of ownership/management since our last stay.

I have stayed at Granada a couple times & have enjoyed my previous visits. BUT, not last time.
Upon entering our room, I couldn't help but notice a mould smell and very noisy from traffic especially trucks coming down the hill. I approached the staff the next 2 rooms they put me in smelt and could breathe. I booked deluxe room there was no way these rooms were deluxe.
I also noticed a very wet patch on the carpet that took 2 days to dry out.
The bathroom had spots of mildew on the walls, in the shower.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, I left 1 day after booking in. I will never stay there again. I wonder if there has been a change of ownership/management since my last stay June 2021.

Would highly recommend, free complimentary wicked wings upon arrival and check out, great in house decor setting a grand standard for the remainder of the get away. Top of the class oven and top of the range heating and cooling system! Outstanding volume from the TV and a strong and stable soap dispenser. Show stopping lighting from the lamps which set the mood; strong and unbreakable. A colourful (to say the least) ironing board, making those crinkled outfits red carpet worthy. Lots of laughs to be had, you will not be disappointed! You will have a GRANADA of a time 😉
