Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely staff (especially Victoria, she is so sweet) Rooms are nice but it’s a little small. The pool is working unlike other reviews. Smells very nice and the room is clean. Slight stains on one of the bedside tables but other than that it’s amazing

The room I ordered on very late notice was great, had everything I needed and was very affordable. More importantly for me, the customer service from the lovely Ukrainian manager was amazing. She gave me a complimentary can of coke when I arrived two hours early, and a bottle of water when I checked out at 12PM. It was greatly appreciated. I hardly ever write reviews, but credit where credit is due. I'm a very happy customer and will absolutely stay there again. Thank you so much!

I have stayed at Granada a couple times & have enjoyed my previous visits. BUT, not last time. Upon entering our room, I couldn't help but notice a mould smell and very noisy from traffic especially trucks coming down the hill. I approached the staff the next 2 rooms they put me in smelt and could breathe. I booked deluxe room there was no way these rooms were deluxe. I also noticed a very wet patch on the carpet that took 2 days to dry out. The bathroom had spots of mildew on the walls, in the shower. The rooms looked 'tired' & not particularly clean. The front of the building was untidy with old rubbish on the ground. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, I left 1 day after booking in. I will never stay there again. I wonder if there has been a change of ownership/management since my last stay June 2021.

Room was ok, got a call after we checked in to say we were booked into the wrong room. Asked if we wanted to change but we were so tired we weren’t fussed so said we’d stay where we were Room wasn’t prepared properly for us and could have had a bit of a freshening clean up (probably why we were offered a different room) TV had no signal, bedding was ok, Would give them another chance that next time we would be check3d into the right room. Can’t entirely blame them when we chose not to move

Need to be in Adelaide near the city on the eastern side then this a good inexpensive option. Spotlessly clean room with comfortable bed and good bed linen. It is relatively quiet considering it is on the main thoroughfare. Has a Mexican restaurant with other restaurants within walking distance. The only criticism was there was absolutely no information in the room with respect to facilities. Should you arrive after reception closed then internet password is not available.

Spend 4 days here during a hot spell. The room was on the second floor which was disappointing as there is no elevator and we are not spring chickens. Thankfully the lovely receptionist gave us a hand with the heavy bags. The living/bedroom was reasonably good. Bed was comfortable, fridge worked, glasses, cups, plates all in place. AC worked well but it was noisy. The room itself was adversely affected by road noise; the room looked out on the main (Portrush) road out the front. We left before 10:00AM each day, the room was made up on the first 2 days, it wasn't touched on the third. There were no supplies to wash your own dishes (scourer, tea towel, washing up liquid etc). The bathroom was a bit of a mixed bag, the shower itself was OK but one soap dispenser was half hanging off the wall. The toilet roll holder was being held together with blue tac (not very well I might add). There were no parking spots available when we returned after 12 midnight on NYE. Each room does not have a dedicated parking place. After the 4th day of hot weather, the bins that were placed near the entry doors reeked. The worst part of the whole experience however was the pool was closed during our stay due to some undisclosed maintenance issues that the owner had been unable to rectify - I gather - for some time. Another positive that should be mentioned, the laundry (one washer, one dryer) is free. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at Granada quite a few times over the last 10+ years & have enjoyed our previous visits. BUT, not this time. Upon entering our room, we couldn't help but notice a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke which took several days of open windows & doors & using our own deodoriser to dissipate. The staff approached that evening about the issue denied that they could smell anything! We also noticed a lot of smokers around on the top balcony, something that we had never noticed on our previous stays. We also noticed a very wet patch on the carpet that took 2 days to dry out. The bathroom had spots of mildew on the walls, particularly near the shower. On the whole, our room looked 'tired' & not particularly clean. We were several times disturbed very late at night or early morning by other noisy tenants, shouting/swearing, slamming doors & noisy cars. In addition, the front of the building facing Portrush Rd was quite untidy with old rubbish on the ground. Overall, a very disappointing experience that means we won't be staying there again. We wonder whether there has been a change of ownership/management since our last stay.

I was very surprised by the standard of the room. From the street this motel looks dirty and dodgy but the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed, very happy with our accommodation. The road noise is a bit of an issue but such is life in the city. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. We would stay here again
