This was our second stay at this 100+acre historic property on a river. We drove over 3 hours to get there, by choice, as our first experience was so good. Bruce and Valerie do a wonderful job of making you feel at home, and their culinary skills are world class! Close to a couple wineries and the Floyd Country Store...

We visited the Mountain Rose Inn for two nights in October to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and absolutely loved it! The breakfasts were yummy and our room was so comfortable - in fact, the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! We enjoyed walking down to the creek and enjoying the overall serenity...

We stayed for two nights at the Mountain Rose Inn in "Joe's Fishing Place". The bed was very comfortable and the room was perfect. The inn and the grounds were very nice, but it was Valerie and Bruce that made it a wonderful stay. We received a warm and sincere welcome. We were completely spoiled by the breakfasts! In addition...

Outstanding hosts, peaceful surroundings, intriguing history behind the house. RELAXING in all respects. Breakfasts were superb, and setting allowed for great conversation with other guests. A real gem for any traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway

Very convenient to the Parkway but best to plan your dinner arrangements in advance as dinning in the area is scarce, especially off season. Valerie and Bruce were gracious hosts and the breakfast served in the dinning room was really something special! The grounds are spacious and the proverbial babbling brook runs through the yard providing natures white noise.

We chose the Mountain Rose Inn to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We wanted something relaxing and secluded; we couldn't have picked a better place! From the greeting from Bruce when we arrived, to saying goodbye to both he and Valerie when we had to leave, we couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better Inn. The house is incredible....

Wonderful hidden gem near Blue Ridge Parkway. Went for a romantic getaway with boyfriend. Recommend the Inn for couples, or those traveling solo and seeking quiet, alone time. The hosts, Valerie and Bruce were gracious and great chefs to boot! They were accommodating to a gluten sensitivity for both the delicious breakfast and sweet treats and night. Stayed two nights,...

We had a reservation at Mountain Rose Inn after two days driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. Though off the beaten path and nowhere really nearby to have dinner, this inn was all that we could have asked for. We did take out pizza dinner and wine on the upstairs balcony overlooking the front property and creek on a lovely evening....

Our favorite B&B, by far. This is truly a gem, hidden away off of Charity Highway in Woolwine, VA. We returned for a weekend get-away and met the new hosts (Bruce and Valerie) - friendly people from Florida who are somewhat new to the area, but clearly have scoped things out because they knew where the good places were in...

Pulling off a winding wooded road I entered the Mountain Rose Inn grounds and felt like Bruce Wayne returning to a secluded but truly magical estate--one that a family had cared for over several generations. Pulling off the drive I realized that my instincts where correct and while I never saw a bat cave the property delighted me more than...
