The Bassett Motel is just a simple place to sleep, close to the Williamsburg, VA attractions. The price is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The manager is friendly and accomodating. No, there are no special amenities like a pool or a free breakfast. You should know that there is a railroad right across the street, in case you...

This was a VERY reasonably priced motel in Williamsburg. We spent most of our time sight-seeing and very little time in the room. There was plenty of space and the room was clean. The decor was nothing special but we did appreciate the refrigerator in the room. The neighborhood was a little noisy at times. The location was good for...

This is one of the closest places to stay near Busch Gardens. While it doesn't have HDTV nor ice machines, it does have a lot going for it. There are mini-fridges in the rooms and they are the big ones that hold 2 ltr sodas, not the little cubes that hold maybe a few 16 oz drinks. The room was...

I book this place based on mostly positive reviews. My daughter & I were planning a weekend of amusement parks, shopping & relaxation. Driving up to the motel I should of known to run in the other direction. We had to change rooms due to the smoke smell & the next room was not much better. After being in the...

Is a good place to rest, clean and the front desk is very helpfull. Also this motel is very close to Bush Gardens and a lot of places to eat. I'm glad that have free wi fi and free parking in front of your room. I will stay again on this motel next time when visiting Bush Gardens Europe again!

I give this motel above average because it is affordable. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable stay without spending a lot of money, this is a great place. We stayed one night. Slept like babies. The bed was comfortable, no noise, and in the morning it was all full. There was no vacancy. Older but very comfortable. It...

Could do with a serious update. Needs repainting and new bathrooms. But bottom line, we didn't feel safe. There was a lot of coming and going all night outside our room and loud talking which made it difficult to sleep and we had no idea what was going on, and we certainly weren't going outside to find out! I'd give...

If you want to take a rest after a long journey and don't look for anything special, this is a good place. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Close to main highway and to the main attraction of Williamsburg. AC worked correctly so the summer night wasn't too hot. With friends we had a nice night there.

This is an older "strip motel" place. Decor from the 1970s. But reasonably cared for (my wife is VERY picky about cleanliness) and good value for a night or so. Wouldn't necessarily plan to camp out here and see Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown/Hampton Roads for a week, but it's OK as a place to sleep and shower. If you want a pool, flat-screen,...

We booked into this motel on a mini road trip down the east coast, due to its location to the Jamestowne Settlement. Upon arrival, we were speedily checked in by a lovely old receptionist who told us of what was around. After the drive down however all we wanted to do was crash. The room was very large but had...
