I stayed here with my significant other for NYE and was really impressed just by how BIG the room was! It was a lot for two people, however, I still enjoyed how much space there was. This hotel would also be great for family reunions because the rooms are big and they have a

Check in was easy, Rege was great, helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, larger size fridge, good for cooling water bottles for next day's adventures. Pet friendly. Close to both downtown shopping area and historic part of town. Down the street from Busch Gardens. If in the

The hotel is close to important venues (historic Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Jamestown, etc.). Not fancy but also not expensive. The hotel staff was exceptionally efficient and had all the paper ready to complete when we walked in the front door.

The hotel is old but in a pretty good location and good for the price too. I'm not sure we'd go back but would if other choices fell through. We didn't see any ghosts either, which is no big deal, but would've been cool.

Dear NGK1976, thank you for your review. The hotel is undergoing a renovation right now and we hope to see you back in 2019 so you can experience the new look as well as all of our food and beverage offerings. In the meantime, we will keep an eye out for the ghosts and hope they will visit when you are returning. Happy Holidays!

This is a nice hotel in a a historic setting in Williamsburg. We enjoyed the Civil war artifact exhibit in the lobby. Good service while still under remodeling, which is almost complete. Will stay there again

Does the Junior suite fairly good size and have a balcony?
To answer your question: Fort Magruder Hotel has Junior Suites on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. Each Junior Suite does have a balcony! Each Junior Suite comes with a King bed and a pull out sofa sleeper in the adjacent space. The sofa bed is not in a separate room but there is a bit of a partition to separate the space. The King size bed space has a TV and the sofa space has its own TV. Each Junior Suite comes with a fridge, coffee maker with regular and decaf, and a hair dryer and ironing board (you may ask for an iron from the front desk). There is plenty of space so you will not be stepping on each other! Also, you have free Wi-Fi and parking is convenient. I hope this answers all your questions! They are still under renovation so be sure to call and make sure they have what you are looking for (Laurie at the front desk is very helpful - 757-220-2250)

Dear TEW10, Thank you so much for considering the Fort Magruder Hotel & Conference Center for your room accommodations. We are still in renovation but the indoor pool is accessible to our guest. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool and restaurant are still in the process of being renovated. In the mean time, my front desk staff can certainly point you in the direction of some local restaurants that you may enjoy! Thank you again for your question. If you need anything else, please do not hesitate to contact me or the hotel directly at 757-220-2250. We look forward to seeing you in April!
