My husband and I stayed in The Cottage, which also accommodated our two dogs. The level of service and hospitality was exceptional! The Cottage was cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Mary Anne's scones were unbelievable. The grounds are picturesque, and our dogs enjoyed exploring them. They also offered dogsitting service, which we greatly appreciated while having dinner...

In town for one night to celebrate wedding anniversary. I'm glad we chose to stay at the Middleton Inn. Very good location, only a couple blocks from the Inn at Little Washington. Quiet, nicely appointed, very clean rooms and attached bathrooms and its own cozy fireplace. Warm welcome from Mary Ann with an offer of a glass or wine and...

Went with my boyfriend for my birthday. The owner was nice sweet, gave us wine upon arrival on the front porch, told us some local history. We stayed in the Churchill Room. Plenty of space, working fireplace, very nice bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was very good as well.

Only a short walk away from the 2 star Michelin rated dinner at Inn at Little Washington which is one of the area's main reason for coming here lies a more affordable lovely place called the Middleton Inn. The Inn Keeper MaryAnne and her associate Dusty make you feel like you are staying in your home away from home. This...

Spent a night here with my girlfriend (now fiancé!) in the Cottage. Mary Ann helped plan an awesome proposal near the Inn on a Saturday afternoon, and I surprised my girlfriend with a stay at the Inn and dinner across the street at the Foster Harris House (also great!). Mary Ann and her team were so helpful and hospitable! The...

A lovely, friendly inn. Stayed here and had dinner at the Inn at Little Washington ( fantastic food, service, and fantastically expensive ). Room was comfortable, shower was excellent, staff could not be friendlier. Traveling from Charleston to NY this is a perfect place to stop.

Run, don't walk to the Middleton Inn. The rooms are cozy and comfy. The breakfasts are better than we've experienced before, and the staff is warm and friendly. To put the icing on the cake, there's a bonus for animal lovers - 8 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 horses all helping to make you feel right at home. A 5:00...

I've stayed at world class hotels and inns around the U.S. and abroad and can say Middleton Inn is among the nicest experiences I've had. The grounds, picuresque scenery, flavorful breakfast, authentic ambiance and most of all attentive and friendly hospitality offer a special and memorable stay you'd expect from a historic inn.
