FOr us, this B&B has become a destination all by itself. While we originally came across Foster Harris House as a convenient place to stay when making a "pilgrimage" to The Inn at Little Washington, we've come to appreciate that it has far more to offer. This time we came back with several couples for a two night stay, and...

Diane and John are excellent hosts in their delightful 5-bedroom B&B. I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with dinner at Inn at Little Washington and an overnight stay (so we didn't have to drive back to DC after our meal) and Foster Harris House was recommended to me by a friend. I am so glad we stayed here! I'm...

In November, 2011, we stayed at Foster Harris after having a fabulous Thanksgiving meal at the Inn at Little Washington. Little did we know that breakfast the next day would be equally satisfying! We had two large guest rooms, each with large comfortable king or queen beds and with large well appointed baths. The Inn has a lovely view of...

We've visited Washington, VA several times to dine at the Inn at Little Washington and always managed the dreadful drive back to Fairfax, Va in our food coma. But this year we decided to stay locally and found great reviews about the Foster Harris House just down the street from the restaurant. Our expectations were well exceeded - John and...

I wanted to find a quiet and inviting B&B for a surprise anniversary celebration, and after researching many options, I settled on, and had high hopes for the Foster Harris House. Our experience more than surpassed our expectations. The inn itself is clean and modern, yet also cozy and quaint. The rooms are beautifully decorated, featuring quality linens, a ridiculously...

We enjoyed one night at the Foster Harris House. John and Diane are excellent sources of information about everything in the area; we visited a few wineries that they recommended; and had a really nice stay after our evening at the Inn & Little Washington. The Inn is comfortable and updated, extremely clean; and the breakast was out of this...

Normally, I’m not a bed and breakfast type of person. Kitsch really isn’t my thing, and I want privacy when I’m on vacation. But we had dinner reservations at the Inn at Little Washington to celebrate my girlfriend’s 30th birthday, and that meant we had to spend the night in one of Washington’s many B&Bs. I first got the hint...

Visit date: 12/2 - 12/4/11. Just prior to our arrival, my husband had a serious allergic reaction to a horse we petted nearly an hour prior. John went out of his way to find a local doctor, but we ended up soaking his eye & waiting it out (it cleared up w/in 24 hrs). This B&B is not only perfect,...
