Spent a night in April with my wife and little baby. We reserved the family room, which was clean and spacious. It was a mid-week stay so we had the whole place for ourselves. Views from the property are amazing! Homemade breakfast in the morning was the highlight of the visit, probably one of the two the best we've ever...

We stayed with friends one night at Fairlea Farm. The occasion was, of course, to eat at the Inn at Little Washington. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fairlea. Susan and Walt are friendly and gracious hosts, the setting is bucolic, and guest rooms are a nice size with comfortable beds and renovated private bathrooms. Susan is quite the cook...

My husband and I had a lovely stay here and couldn't have picked a better B&B for our anniversary trip. We ate at the Inn at Little Washington and hiked Shenandoah, all close by. The owners went above and beyond in making our stay the very best. The food was outstanding! She made one of the best hot pineapple cobblers...

We spent a night at Fairlea Farm just after New Years. Susan and Walt make you feel at home; they brought us coffee or tea and spent time chatting with us their living room after we arrived. Before it got too dark we went for a walk around their property, enjoying the views of the Shenandoah mountains, and cattle and...

We highly recommend this B&B. Susan and Walt are very friendly and have an impeccably clean and welcoming home with beautiful views. Breakfasts are wonderful. The little touches like cookies in the afternoon and water and apples in the room are so nice also. We stayed in the suite downstairs and enjoyed the fireplace both nights. Privacy and comfort! We...

My mother and I arrived at Fairlea after a day of hiking and were warmly greeted by Susan. After a quick tour, including where we would be having breakfast the next day, we were shown to our room. It was a good size room with a large bathroom, stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, and lotion. We also had access to...

This very attractive B&B is located very near the famous Inn at Little Washington. Our room was super clean and very comfortable. The hostess loves cooking and the magnificent breakfast proves it. Highflying recommended.

Susan and Walt Longyear are celebrating 25 years as self-employed innkeepers, which indicates the high quality and genuinely warm hospitality they provide to their guests. A creative and tasty breakfast, comfortable rooms with generous views to a serene pastoral setting among lush fields and mountains, and a location highly convenient to Washington VA and its several great venues, as well...

We've been back twice to the "family" suite. Mr. & Mrs. Longyear are great hosts. The grounds are beautiful, and the breakfasts are some of the best we've ever had. Susan makes our kids feel at home and welcome, and they enjoy playing in the attached game room, feeding carrots to the donkeys, and seeing the goats (or were they...

The house has windows looking out onto the surrounding farm and hills - a beautiful view everywhere you look. The rooms are comfortable and pretty, and you are a 10 minute walk from the main street in little Washington. Susan is an accomplished cook (we bought her book of family recipes!), and made at least 3 different types of fruit...
