I booked this lovely little place after seeing a Living Social Deal. I was taking my husband for a surprise Birthday weekend. Not only did John go out of his way to help but gave me all the local recommendations I needed to plan additional surprises. Rooms are clean, all themed and comfortable. Don't let the outside fool you either....

A bunch of us attended a wedding nearby, then several families rented rooms here. It was very pretty. What we noticed when we first arrived was that the place was very, very hot. Liz stated that they had turned the heaters on and opened the room doors in order to heat the building. We walked in the hallway, noticing several open...

My husband and I recently travelled to Urbanna to celebrate my birthday. We took a cruise with local Captain Phil -highly recommend! After a half day of driving, the cruise and a good dinner we were ready to get back to our hotel room. The Chesapeake Inn staff was super friendly. The room had all the amenities you could need; including...

The Chesapeake Inn is a hidden gem. Don't let the boring exterior fool you, each room is beautifully decorated, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the customer service outstanding. Keep in mind this is a small, 13 suite inn so don't expect to have a person on site 24/7, but given that the owner/employees are extremely responsive. What amazes me...

This hotel was hard for me to find at first. From the pictures of the rooms I envisioned an old home converted into a hotel. But from the outside it looks like a regular one star hotel. It is not. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff is friendly. I especially like their idea of having a "service room"...

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our room was gorgeously appointed. We had a double queen suite and the beds were so comfortable it was the best sleep I have had in ages. A good-sized refrigerator, a microwave and a coffeepot meant we could have holed up all weekend with ripe strawberries and whipped cream from the grocery store a...

It's said not to judge a book by it's cover, so we didn't, booked a suite at this boutique inn that was renovated from a 1950's Coca-Cola bottling company. Stomped around the small village by foot and explored the Northern Neck of Virginia by car. The large water views on the Rappahannock River were tranquil and very relaxing. Our room...

We had a Living Social voucher for 2 nights for price of one, so we thought we'd give it a try, having never been to Urbanna. The Chesapeake Inn is a lovely property that is well cared for and right in the heart of town. Liz takes really good care of guests at check-in and made us feel welcome. Our...

Needed a break and grabbed my BFF for a quick trip out of town. This was the perfect spot!! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are super clean and quiet. The well appointed decor is different in every room. There is a refrigerator and small coffee maker provided as well as the typical toiletries. This is in...
