My husband and I attended the Apple Festival 2016. It was a very nice festival but it rained the entire day making it quite messy for the craft vendors. We would love to come back another year and hope for better weather. We did not stay at the Lodge but stayed in a motel in Culpepper and enjoyed the beautiful...

If you are looking for fine, luxurious accommodations and fancy cusiene, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking to go back in time and enjoy a beautiful setting in the country and be served 3 plentiful country cooking meals a day, then look no further. We have been there twice in the fall, wrapping our...

Planned a fall hiking getaway to which the lodge was central, so planned to stay at GML based on family's past experience.. We were told we would have Wi-Fi, never was able to connect in our room. Booked for 2 nights and maid service never came to our room and when I asked about it, only told sorry, they were...

I stayed at the main hotel during 2016 Apple festival weekend. Accommodations are old and dated. A bit rustic for many travelers with cell phone communication here all but non existent. The town of Syria is very remote nestled in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If a 7-Eleven were opened here it would be the biggest store in...

I have lived 2 hrs away from Graves Mt Lodge and never visited until this past weekend for the Apple Festival. It was amazing. I loved every bit of it. Have made lodging reservations for 2017. We ate in the lodge for Sunday Dinner. The chicken was amazing, so tender and tasty. The corn and carrots were a little too...

After a couple of rainy weekends, we decided to hit the road for the (what we thought) was the last weekend for the apple festival. Saturday was a beautiful day and we knew it would be busy. I was able to get a lunch reservation. It was our first time eating at the lodge, and what a treat it was!...

I've been going here twice a year for many years in the Spring and the Fall. They never disappoint for a great time. I always go to for their festivals. There is also a restaurant and lodge on site. All setup along a beautiful rolling stream. First three weekends in October is their Apple Festival. Pick your own from the...

I get old and rustic and quaint. I too am old and rustic and quaint, but even I have moved beyond the 1940s, which was the vintage of our old cabin, which had bugs, dog scratches on the doors, ripped furniture, and no shampoo in the bathroom. My daughter had to wash her hair with a paper-wrapped thin bar of...

I stayed at Graves Mountain Inn Aug 19-22 in connection with an organized group event. Inside, it has the feel of a 1950's motel. That could be a good or a bad thing depending if you have nostalgia for the 50;s. A clear plus is the location, set on a hillside with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and valley....

Dear Larry, It is always unfortunate to hear one of our guest had a disappointing experience. I researched to see if you had made contact with our staff at any time during your stay and it was brought to my attention that you did not make us aware of your concerns while you were here. Had we known we certainly...
