The managers are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Patrick House in Number 35, a suite so did have one of the best if not the best room in the complex. Our living area was comfortable if a bit outdated. The bedroom and bath nicely done with lots of windows, room and light. Breakfast was excellent. Only the towels...

I had been looking forward to staying at the Frederick House because of the reviews and personal comments from friends who stayed there. But I was disappointed. My single room seemed very tired (like an old HoJo's room) and needed to be updated. And the breakfast menu was old and limited, especially for someone with a dairy allergy. The only...

The Frederick House is a beautiful and historic bed and breakfast, which is very well maintained and provides superb service. It gives us an opportunity to have a romantic vacation coupled with plays at the Black Friar Theater. Located conveniently in the downtown section of Staunton, the Frederick House is in easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, museums, and the...

My girlfriend and I were on a road trip driving from Boston to her home in Florida. We spent a night at the Frederick House in Staunton and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in Patrick 28, which is a very spacious room. There were two bedrooms, a living room, and a huge bathroom. The room was clean and we...

What a lovely hotel! I found out about this place through the Shakespeare theater and was so glad that they mentioned Frederick House! The room we stayed in--Patrick 35--was beautiful. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was pretty good, too! I asked for a waffle and instantly regretted ordering it, thinking about how waffles are all crap...

I stayed in room 25 and had a wonderfully peaceful and quiet experience. The room was spacious, excellent internet connection and much more. To finish off the rating of a 5, an excellent breakfast and wonderful conversation with the owners. I normally stay at brand name hotels when I travel, but The Frederick House is better than a Hyatt, Holiday...

It means incomparable. Centrally located, includes a great breakfast, and conversation. This boutique hotel is anything but cookie cutter. It has a distinct personality that complements its owners/hosts/community benefactors, Evy and Joe Harmon. Need to get a ticket, know something about Staunton, get somewhere, ask Evy or Joe. They know everyone and everyone knows them. We had the second floor...

After a long first day on the road, I called here late and asked about a room, and was given a very charming and comfortable suite for a great price that gave this weary traveler a good nights rest. They sent me off with a fantastic breakfast and a smile and I would definitely stay again anytime! Thanks so much!!

The Frederick House is actually several restored houses walking distance to everything in Staunton. We stayed in Patrick 35, a king suite. The suite was spacious and charming with lots of period detail. The only shared space was the dining room located in the Patrick House. Operated more like a hotel than a B&B, which we liked. Owners very friendly...
