When building Smithfield Station the owners spared no expense to create a truly beautiful destination. Every detail from the floor up shows great care and expense. Fireplace, crown molding, beautifully tiled Jacuzzi tub bathroom, quality bed and bedding, balcony overlooking the marina and Pagan river and more. The restaurant is nothing less than incredible, I had the Cowboy steak and...

Stayed in the Capt Sinclair lighthouse suite. Room was luxurious. Light actually stayed on at night and kept the room dusky. Two headed shower was nice; fireplace kept the room warm. Only problems were that we ran a little short of hot water when we went to use the hot tub (after shower), and the room has only one chair....

Our visit to Smithfield Station was a special one. Our kitchen my room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the marina which was very scenic. A short walk down the boardwalk led us to the hotel restaurant and an excellent dinner. Would recommend to friends and family and hope to return in the future.

My wife and I stayed overnight in Smithfield, VA last year and did not see Smithfield Station until we were leaving. I said that if we had an opportunity we should stay at the "Station". The opportunity presented itself this March so we happily booked a two night special, which included a room in the main building, champagne with chocolate...

Smithfield Station is an amazing place. My husband and I went for a two night get away and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Our room was perfect, comfortable, clean and had a great view of the river. Big towels and pillows. We loved sitting on the balcony, reading and enjoying the quiet. The resturant has the best food. The Sunday...

This was our 4th time staying at Smithfield Station and again we were not disappointed. We stayed in one of the cottages, this time the Poolside Cottage. We loved it. It had a rustic charm to it like a mountain cabin with beautiful views of the boats and water. A nice kitchen, sitting area with a fireplace and TV. Beautiful...

I took my wife and kids there, kids got Scallops wrapped in bacon with dip, this tasted great! However the soup and the fish were too salty, didn't eat the fish, however the mashed potatoes were pretty good, but still too much salt. The scenery is nice, staff was wonderful, but the food needs improving. I can get much better...

I treated to of my best gal pals to their first trip to Smithfield Station. They were so impressed by everything! I had ordered a picnic basket for our arrival that afternoon. It was full of yummy stuff! Had a little time at the pool, a late supper which was delicious and leftovers to take back to the room. We...

We enjoy a day trip to Smithfield, VA when we need to get away from the city and busy routine. The restaurant we usually eat at was closed for refurbishing, so we went to Smithfield Station. It is located in a beautiful setting on the Pagan River and overlooking wetlands. The facility itself is well done and very attractive. We...
