Stayed here in the White Oak room for a weekend of touring presidential homes. The location was about 15 miles from Monticello (Jefferson) and Highland (Monroe). Montpelier (Madison) was approximately 40 miles away. The location was good - not too far from the sites. The room was very comfortable and clean. The hosts Jean and Craig were very friendly and... My boyfriend Michael and I stumbled upon the Chester this past weekend while passing through the area. From the moment we arrived, Jean, Craig, and their awesome dog Trixie welcomed us to their home. The room was quietly tucked in the back of the home, which was lovely all around. We had everything we needed and were so cozy together... More

Beautiful grounds. Wonderful rooms. Incredible food and hospitality. Jean and Craig are very knowledgeable about the local attractions. We enjoyed sitting in the parlor every evening talking and drinking wine we purchased at local wineries - very comfortable and inviting. We will be back!
