High Meadows Inn is a beautiful! The stay was amazing! The breakfast was excellent! We were greeted by one of the owners of the property. who was a joy to talk with and extremely kind. We stayed in The Daffodil room and it was cozy and pretty! Wish we could've stayed more than just 1 night!

I wanted a getaway and this certainly fit the bill. I telecommute so it doesn't matter where I work as long as there is internet. The owners were very accommodating, letting me work in the dining room after breakfast or working anywhere in the common area. I stayed in the Dogwood room and I highly recommend it - you have...

My wife and I stayed in the Peony room at High Meadows for a couple nights, and loved it! Cynthia is a rock star, and she really made the experience superb! The house (two conjoined houses actually) were built in 1831 and 1883, and still contain all of the original touches that give you the old-world feel. The Peony room...

Nice property and a good place to stay near Monticello. We were in the cottage, about 100 yards from the main building in a very well appointed and comfortable room. Very quiet. Breakfast is very good. A real bonus is an American-style Italian restaurant in town called on Amicis which offers unbelievably good value and really good food. NB: The...

We had a very nice two day stay here, right out in the country a lovely quiet retreat. We enjoyed our chats with our host Nancy and she produced the most wonderful breakfasts. The strawberries and shortcake was the best I have ever tasted. Close to Scottsville which is a delightful little town with really friendly inhabitants. Loved this place....

We were here last May or June, and had a great time. Our room had a huge whirlpool tub which added to the romantic ambience. The grounds are beautiful and the Southern charm was perfect. Breakfast was delicious both days! We had a living social deal which included kayaking on the James River with a yummy picnic lunch. The Hort...

The place is really conducive to getting away as there are no TVs. They do have wifi and cell service is available if you cannot totally disconnect but I recommend disconnecting. Their breakfasts are excellent and the coffee is wonderful. I would have given it 5 stars but the bed in our room was so soft that we found it...

I cannot recommend staying here. The main issue is that the owners have no concept of customer service or how to run a business. It takes a little more than a love of decorating and cooking. I stayed here using a Living Social voucher and choose a "suite" based on the description of amenities and room itself. I was in...

I traveled to the Inn over the Columbus Weekend - Saturday and Sunday. I was worried about traveling by myself, but the lovely host made me feel right at home. I stayed in the Dandilion room in the house. It was right outside the main area but it was a gorgous room and perfect for just me. I spent a...

Booked this room for a girls weekend, had to cancel as several in our group had things come up. Cancelled well within the stated time frame. Owner refused to give back money. When we pointed out the cancellation policy given both verbally and on the first page of the website, Owner replied that there was a different cancellation policy for...
