This hotel was/is conveniently located....close to the airport and to major interstates for travel to/from Williamsburg/Norfolk/Va Beach and historic sites in and around Richmond.
As per usual, the hotel had an excellent free breakfast each morning with the usual change in variety as far as breakfast meat and style of eggs. The room was perfect size for my needs, and the staff was very helpful.

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. The staff is very friendly and our room was updated. We stayed for two nights and would definitely stay again. There was a restaurant in the hotel next door, but we did not visit it. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room, however the refrigerator does not have a freezer compartment.

The Hampton Inn at the Richmond Airport is clean and a convenient 10 minutes away from the terminal. Rooms and the breakfast are typical for the brand. The exercise room had limited working equipment (when I stayed in November 2023). The front desk clerk, Aaron, was particularly helpful. One thing on Trip Advisor that is inaccurate is that parking was not free while you're a guest. You are charged $5 to park WHILE YOU ARE A GUEST -- I found that on their website after I was charged.) You can leave your car, however, in a well lit lot if you need long term parking at that same rate of $5 per day and there is a free shuttle service to and from the airport. That service was very reliable when I used it. Overall, it's a clean bed for the night with a helpful front desk.

The hotel location is very nice and the hotel overall is nice. They are not cleaning occupied rooms during the stay which means you place your garbage in the hallway every morning and you have to get clean towels from the front desk staff as well as any room essentials like coffee for the coffee pot as well as fresh cups. The common areas of the hotel are cleaned daily just not your room which makes no sense. They clean the room upon checkout, just another way for the property owner to save money by having less housekeeping working.

The room was an ok size for having a king bed. Fridge was small, had a frozen block of ice on the backside, which caused the fridge to not operate correctly. I had to throw milk away because of the fridge not operating properly causing the milk to go sour. After speaking with the front desk and being told they weren’t sure if they could just swap the fridge with another room’s fridge, but they could swap me rooms (I was staying for 12 days. I did not want to repack to move), I removed the ice myself and dried the interior using a hairdryer. Now the fridge worked properly. The shelf unit does allow for a larger fridge to fit.
The room doors could use some type of noise dampening felt, etc. so people who allow their door to slam, it would be quieter.
Washing/dryer machines require a credit card- no coins!
WiFi is terrible! Very slow, lags. Extremely low upload/download speeds (less than 3mbps)!
The planes flying overhead are not as loud compared to staying in the neighboring hotels.
The room doors could use some type of noise dampening felt, etc. so people who allow their door to slam, it would be quieter.

Checked in at 9 pm to a dirty room. Front desk attendant acted like it was a complete inconvenience to get us a new room and wanted to call a housekeeper in to clean the room. Due to Covid they don’t clean rooms if you are staying more than one night which is ok. To get clean towels you are supposed to put outside your room and they are supposed to leave clean towels in a bag outside your room. This did not happen and the front desk attendant was so rude to our entire group for wanting towels because we did what we were told by the previous desk attendant. Box continental breakfast was not there the second morning. Desk attendant that morning was loudly cussing and complaining that our group wanted food. Will NEVER come back to this motel.

Stayed here one night while on business in the area. This hotel is quite noisy, and I had a hard time getting a decent night’s sleep. Of course, it is near the airport, so airplanes would pass over fairly regularly. I could occasionally hear loud vehicles on the nearby Interstate. There were also only second floor rooms available when I checked in, and there must not be much insulation between floors as the people in the room above me sounded like they were stomping on the floor for a good hour after they got in. Maybe they were? The air conditioning unit in my room also had an annoying rattle to it when it first kicked on, which interrupted my sleep through the night. Anyway, all in all, just too much noise going on for me to want to stay here again in the future.
For some reason, the cell signal at this hotel is terrible, and the hotel Wi-Fi was inconsistent.
The staff was friendly, and my room was clean. These were the highlights of my stay.
Breakfast was not great and definitely on the lower spectrum of The Hampton Inn‘s I have stayed at. Particularly lacking on fruit. Also surprised that gloves were not available at the buffet.

Service was good not exceptional. Room quality was decent but not to the standards I believe that were promised. Breakfast was acceptable and the quality of food was fresh and fair. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay at this location and after traveling 14hrs I didn’t want to have to try and resolve the issues I was having so I just had to deal with it.

So daughter had a 6:35 am flight and we live near Roanoke, Va. We decided to go down evening before and stay at Hampton Inn which was one of many options near the airport. Hotel was nice and very close to airport. Several reviews had warned of the noise from the airport since the hotel was near the airport. We had a 5th floor room but had no issue with any noise. One thing I did notice was the curtains on the windows wouldn’t close to allow total darkness in order to sleep in. Didn’t matter to us as her flight was before daylight. I went to check out digitally and it said to see front desk. When I asked they said “oh just drop your key cards in the box” is all that meant. So on a whim at 11am I rechecked and it said I was still checked in but it did allow me to check out digitally this time. All in all very nice hotel and accommodations so thank you,

There are plenty of options within a 5 mile radius that are likely better. I had a very recent stopover for one night, and thankfully had the Hilton app, as the system was down at the front desk to check people in.
The AC in the room was barely operational (strange buzzing sound throughout the night), the curtains would not completely close, letting in bright streetlights, and the room had a strange smell that either was coming from the carpet or bathroom.
I would not stay here again under any circumstances.
