I was in town for a quick weekend and thought this Doubletree would be cool based on other experiences with the brand. They clearly do not have quality control as when I called the front desk to inform them that our lotion, shower gel, and other products were completely empty she stated I could come downstairs and get it myself…that’s not ideal considering i’m not dressed. When I asked are these things checked her response was, “I’m not hotel housekeeping and not aware of what their quality control is.” How not???? That makes me believe that if they aren’t checking those basic things they most likely aren’t doing thorough cleaning. Since there are other hotels right next door I may try to cancel my reservation and stay the other days somewhere else. I feel like everything in here is dirty now. The closet door was bashed in like someone punched it and the entry way light wouldn’t stay on.
Will be taking this one off the list for further stays!!! I gave it three stars bc the hotel restaurant was halfway decent and our waitress was really nice.

I usually stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton RIC Airport whenever I’m in town. Each time I stayed here the rooms have been clean, the beds are comfortable, and most of the staff have been very friendly. During my most recent stay, the pool was closed for maintenance. The mini fridge in my room wasn’t working, but they gave me another room where it did work. I needed to print out some theme park tickets, and the young lady at the front desk was very kind in assisting me with this. Each time I’ve enjoyed their breakfast buffet during my stay the selection was very good. During this visit Ms. Maxine & Ms. Esther both went above and beyond and made me feel very spoiled with the excellent customer service they both provided! They both showed the kind of charm & hospitality that I usually only receive at higher tier accommodations. I witnessed their care for each diner, regardless of Hilton Honors Status. Kudos to the dining room staff and management! I will be back again and again. I always recommend this hotel to family & friends.

The lack of customer care was on display today. The policy to not allow a spouse to check-in without the other spouse present is a terrible policy. I booked a reservation under my name, was unable to travel at the same time as my wife, and they refused her check-in. When I called, I was promptly ushered to voicemail and received no resolution. When I called back I was told the manager was too busy to deal with this issue. I then called the booking company who was also unable to cancel the stay but instead offered 1-night discount. I am now out a significant amount of money because my wife, who shares my last name, cannot check into the hotel nor would they let me change the reservation over the phone.

For the area it is one of higher priced hotels so I expected it to be better then the rest. In turn its worse, no proper room cleaning service, even after requesting and grab-n-go breakfast is a joke. Properties just next to it offer all of that for lower rate.

Hi. To be fair my room was disgusting. I stayed in room 606. The bed sheets were not clear at all. There were hair and dandruff particles in the sheets of one if the bed and the other one smelled like Someone had just worked out and laid in the sheets. I was told there were no other rooms available on arrival and I was exhausted from being in the airport 12 hours. I called downstairs several times to request sheets -no answer. I went downstairs st midnight for sheets and there was no one at the desk. I knocked on the staff door and no answer. Moments later a gentlemen appeared from outside and said he was working and gave me some sheets upon request and said he would tell the manager regarding my room. My room had a hole in the door, nasty sheets and

You can't check in after 1am with out drama their computer updates I literally was told come back at 530. I had to call the 800 number and after all that was told breakfast has a 17.00 per fee at this hilton. Thank God there's a IHOP about a quarter of mile up Laburnum. SMH

When we asked about the breakfast, we were told it was a "CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST" and as in all the motels I have been some even were a full free breakfast. Double Tree charging $37 for a Continental Breakfast/ This was way overboard. I called the manager Kathrine Spillman and asked for a discount or refund. she did nothing about my complaint.
Also, The pool was anther reason we came to this hotel was to pool, which I was told was under renovation.
And one of the elevators was also out of order.
We were in Room 220 on March 12th - 13th.

Awesome to find a comfortable, accommodating and reputable place to stay when visiting family in the area. Will be back many times in the future! Staying at Hilton is well worth the small extra amount that other places charge to have a good experience again and again. No breakfast included with the stay, which is normal for Hilton brands...however, a discount at the restaurant during breakfast time would be nice (Just an FYI to Hilton ;-) )

Katherine the Manager was kind enough to offer to use her car to give our truck a jump start.
My husband and I were 3 hours from home and on the final leg of a 16 day excursion. We were excited and ready to get home. Unfortunately, our truck wouldn't start. We were stressed and unsure about what to do. My husband went into the hotel to see if they had a suggestion for who to call. Instead of given us a number the Manager said she would give us a jump start. Fortunately, that was all we needed. We made it home.
You may think that offer is a simple thing, but we do not.. She was there when we needed her. People these days forget to appreciate any form of kindness.
Also, Dimonique checked us in and out.at the front desk. She was friendly and helpful. I mentioned that my husband and I loved the cookies, so she made sure, with the help of a very nice individual in the kitchen staff to get me fresh, out of the oven cookies. We really needed them after our breakdown scare.
Again, don't underestimate the importance of a simple act of kindness and a friendly face.
