Even though its next to the highway, you don't here much noise, because of nice rooms. The rooms were extremely clean and very spacious. The hosts are very friendly and gave so much information about in and around places to visit. There is a full kitchen setup which helped us in cooking food during our stay.

We had a great time staying at the Bay of Islands Country Lodge for one week during April. The rooms were extremely clean and cosy. The animals on the property are all very friendly and we loved feeding Hazel the piggy and Minty the sheep. Fantastic location too as we were such a short distance from both Paihia and Keri-Keri.... This was our first stop on our tour of NZ. What a fantastic start. Laraine and Ed our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The room was great, lovely and spacious with all the facilities, bathroom, kitchen and a verandah overlooking a wonderfully peaceful garden. Swimming pool and jacuzzi all included. Laundry facilities on site. We would recommend... More

Really nice place to stay as a family. Comfortable units, good facilities, friendly owners and the kids loved all the animals. Located very centrally for many local attractions - makes a great base to explore from.

Yes, you can hear the traffic, but it's not a thundering roar. An odd motel, for all that, inasmuch as, nicely furnished, with a well equipped kitchenette, but some of the interior is getting dated and could do with a do up, but it's immaculately clean, and the people (and all the chooks, piglets, goats and cat) are very friendly!... It's a very good motel friendly on ur pocket. Good for anyone who isn't picky. It's location is the best, just on the highway no need of any detour. Very good for a overnight stop over if ur driving from Auckland. We have been here twice and am sure will visit again.

We were welcomed by a most delightful and friendly Kiwi host. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and nice and light.(what a nice change) A very nice Spa Pool was available and used on both nights we stayed. Information was given freely regarding local points of interest. I would recommend this Motel to anyone. It's location is at Puketona Junction,... More

My Husband and I went away for the weekend, and discovered this lovely motel up in Northland. It is in a area called Puketone Junction, and therefore is either 20 min to kerikeri or paihia. It is in the country, and really really quiet. The rooms where a great size, lovely bathrooms, and great kitchen. The Hosts where soooooooooo friendly... More

We only stayed there for one night but the beds were springy and uncomfortable. Booking at the last minute before new years eve it was very well priced for 4 people so can't complain much. There is a spa (NZ$3.00) to use and an outdoor swimming pool too but we didn't have the time to use either. The location is... More

We were so glad to stop the night at this lovely motel as we had been travelling all day and were in need of a rest to regenerate our energy. It was such a treat to be greeted with a spotlessly clean and very inviting unit. The only problem with this lodge was the busy road outside and the lack... More
