We stopped here between Napier & Wellington for my boyfriends birthday! I think I was expecting more of the whole town, it was very sleepy but the hotel & room was nice. We were put in a room up stairs which I think most or their rooms are so that might be bothersome to some but great little balcony on...

Stayed in a Garden Suite. Price $240 for a night. Positives: Great location on the square. Lovely heritage building. Room was large, quiet and opened out onto a lovely garden. Huge bathroom with an amazing clawfoot tub. Best bath ever. Negatives: Both bedside lamps had dead lightbulbs. Shower bracket in bathroom broken; this, combined with an ill-fitting shower curtain meant...

Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We have checked the light bulbs in the Garden Suite and both seem to be working fine, so we wonder if it was actually an issue with the light switches? For our guests convenience we have installed a light switch both up on the wall and down by the bedside. If...

In Nz you often pay plenty of dollars.... for not much! While this hotel is not "cheap" it's very good value for money. Immaculately clean, big room, international standard of presentation and ammenities, lots of style and professional service

This hotel has a prominent setting in this delightful small town. Our room was huge and well equipped, and the bathroom also spacious. the outside balcony a bonus. However, our weekend stay was marred by the thumping music, singing and shouting from a bar/cafe on a corner opposite...it didn't end until 1.30am! I complained to the rather disinterested receptionist the following...

The rooms in the quaint old hotel were booked out, so we stayed in the more modern garden units. These were very spacious and functional, but lacked the 'old-world' atmosphere in the hotel itself. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice small town, and excellent Pinot Noir everywhere in the neighborhood (no need to drive!).

....after our 3-Day Tora Coastal Walk... a king bed, a huge tub, a spacious room, and lovely surroundings. We spent three nights at the hotel in a very quiet garden suite - I wonder if the rooms inside the hotel itself may be a bit noisy. We made use of the historic library which was very comfortable. Our only disappointment...

After walking through the beautiful little village of Martinborough with all its little quirky shops - we decided to pop in & have a quiet little drink at the Hotel. Apart from having a drink we wandered through the Hotel and its magnificent old world rooms - it was just beautiful. There was also accommodation attached to the old girl...

Visited Martinborough Hotel last Thursday night for evening meal out with wife and enjoyed a wonderful meal in and old style hotel with a modern menu and great friendly attentive staff. Competitively priced with other venues in this small wine region town, it just looked and felt a little bit more special without being too highbrow. Well worth a visit...

Stayed in annexe,. Comfortable room and spacious bathroom, Very clean and nicely furnished. Very central location but bit noisy due to people sitting outside at restaurant opposite hotel, Disappointed there wasn't any air-conditioning although fan did help. The hotel restaurant was excellent. Hotel is a historic property and is excellent base for visiting numerous wineries nearby, Friendly staff.

We stayed in what was sold as the best room in the old part of the Hotel (The Cameron Room) so these comments may be a bit biased and not reflect the other parts, especially the newer motel style rooms. The old building is very well maintained and has a real sense of character with access onto a balcony which...
