My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving at 1PM from Denham with a rental car. A nice receptionist asked for my name, car registration, credit card guarantee and retrieved a pamphlet with the key to our prepaid Bay Lodge apartment. Located at the back on a rise, studio #4 had parking at the door. It was wood floored, spacious and clean with a fully outfitted kitchenette(gas stove, micro & small refrigerator), a comfortable queen, long shelf desk, a small bathroom with a stall shower, exhaust fan, and table/chairs in front of glass sliding door to a common patio. The wall AC was quiet, the extra single bed was not used and WIFI was available only at the Reef Cafe and nearby Bill’s Bar. We crossed the road to the Coral Bay Arcade’s Foodworks, Bakery and Ice Cream Shop before walking the reef up to the juvenile shark sanctuary.

Hi Gene, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay in one of our lodge rooms. How good is the shark sanctuary? At this time of year there are hundreds of young sharks happily swimming around just meters off the shore. Always well worth the short walk to see. We hope to welcome you back to beautiful Coral Bay one day.

There is a wide range of different types of accommodation at this site. We stayed in a “Ningaloo Villa” – a one bedroom cabin. Bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, dining, lounge area. It was a bit tired, but clean and functional. We only used the kitchen for breakfast – if you were cooking dinner it would be a bit limiting but fine for basics. Some of the reviews have mentioned noise. The park was busy and a bit noisy in the afternoon and early evening but our experience was that it quietened down later in the evening. Drinking water is provided from the kitchen tap – this is clearly indicated in the room. Lots of signs about with rules, but they are generally reasonable. A simple but comfortable beachside stay.

We stayed at Ningaloo Coral Bay for two nights in a, Lodge Room located upstairs. Very basic room, clean but lacking any extra amenities. Bed was on wheels so moved around a lot, washroom was small and dated. A/C worked great. The nearest WiFi was a 5 minute walk to a restaurant, with purchase you got the password.

Thank you for your review. We have listened and ensured all the beds now have stoppers under the castors to stop them moving around. Unfortunately, due to our size and location it is not possible to supply WIFI to the park. Bill's Bar across the road has free WIFI available. We hope to welcome you back again one day.

We have been touring around WA from interstate and been to 22 caravan parks and this is the worst we’ve been to. The sites are the smallest we’ve ever seen, the abolition blocks are old, not maintained and not cleaned. My partner found 💩 in his shower! 🤢 Considering you can’t attach the water to your caravan then they should be cleaned 2-3 times a day. They just don’t clean them! You have to pay more for a dog on site and they treat you like a 2nd class citizens by cramming you in to the back of the park. There is no grass on sites and no sites are rested to allow it to grow. You can hear your neighbors breathe. We won’t be back here again. They charge $62+ a night because they can and need some serious improvement in maintenance and cleaning practices.

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. I can confirm that the ablution blocks are cleaned twice a day. Our hard working cleaners start cleaning at 4am for the convenience of our guests so you may not have noticed them. Unfortunately, some inconsiderate guests do on occasion use the facilities incorrectly and this is out of our control.

Probably the noisiest place we have stayed. Paper thin walls and ceilings, poorly maintained doors adding to the noise. Shower head full of rust and corrosion - should have been replaced long ago, instead has put rust stains all over the shower. Flyscreen in bathroom in poor condition, allowing flys and mosquitoes into the room. Unfortunately another typical WA accommodation that charges a fortune due to the location alone whilst not bothering to maintain the rooms to a basic standard.

All the interactions we had with the woman at the reception were very poor. She was not helpful, quite condescending and she had an AirPod in one of her ears all the time, which made her look even more uninterested. We stayed in a powered site, and even though it was a bit tight, we didn't need much space as our campervan is quite small. The facilities are not bad, but we felt like the water coming from the taps and showers was a bit salty? Also, they only give you 20 free liters to fill up your water tank, if you want more than that you'll have to pay.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, unfortunately not a positive one this time. I am sorry you had a bad experience with one of our reception staff, This is very unusual as we receive a lot of great feedback about our friendly staff. You are correct that the water in the showers is salty. We have an artesian bore that supplies the park, and half of Coral Bay with its water. Without this bore Coral Bay would not be able to be the beautiful place it is. Due to our location we don't have access to mains water and our fresh water is de-salinated bore water. This is a very expensive process to produce and the reason why you have to pay for excess water in Coral Bay. I note you gave our location a high rating, I hope you enjoyed the beauty of Coral Bay and the magnificent Ningaloo reef.

Centrally located and beautiful area of coral bay. Loads of campsites the park is huge. Right by the beach .
Expensive especially for unpowered site, small campsites all squished together covered in sand with no privacy , facilities are old, dirty and in need of an upgrade and clean.
Showers and all water is bore water, drinking water available in a few taps around the park to refill bottles
We had to move twice during our stay because of availability but they made us check out of our camp spot at 10am and check back in at 11am we were not allowed to check in early. I was told I would need to drive round for an hour because it was so busy and wouldn’t be any parking spots (this wasnt true we just parked up for an hour before we could check in to new spot).
We were moved to unpowered sites in another park across the road from the main camp. Less busy and cramped but Toilets showers kitchen here pretty dirty and only 3 male/3 female showers/toilets for the field so had to queue. Cobwebs and rust and dirt in ablution block.
It’s one of only 2 campsites in coral bay (and it’s the biggest) so definitely taking advantage of this by charging a lot for unpowered site as they know people will book it anyway. The other park peoples park was unavailable for our dates but I’d recommend to try this one first. This is probably the worst campsite we have stayed at on our trip from Perth up the coast.
Coral Bay is lovely though and we enjoyed our stay just don’t expect much for your money!! Would be a great location and camp if they upgraded their facilities

Thank you for your review, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful area of Coral Bay. It is very unfortunate that you had to move sites during your stay with us and we realize that this can be frustrating and our reservations team try their best to juggle bookings so our guests aren't inconvenienced with this process but unfortunately given the fact that this is our busiest time of the year with so many people wanting to enjoy Coral Bay it is on occasion necessary. I was surprised to read your comment stating that you were told you would have to drive around for the time period between checkout and the 11am check in. I haven't heard any of our staff make that comment to anyone before. It is necessary to have that time to do site checks to make sure that everyone has vacated correctly and it gives the ground staff a chance to check the sites for maintenance/clean up etc. I will follow up on your comments regarding the cleanliness of the ablutions & kitchen areas. We hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip.

Upon checking in the staff seem friendly and informative. We stayed in the single bedroom villa which was clean, private, self contained and everything we needed. Unfortunately our car park for the villa wasn’t next to the villa itself and it was located about 20m away. Another rooms carpark was right next to our villa but no one parked there while we stayed which was a nice touch. There is no wifi here which was a tad disappointing but phone reception is good. During our stay the hot water pipes burst on the parks premises so we were without hot water for a couple hours but the issue was rectified before dinner. Can get a bit noisy with the works they are doing during the day with heavy machinery but good to see them improving their grounds and facilities. Communal washing machines and dryers are $6 a wash and $4 for dryer which is a bit steep. They can exchange cash for gold coins at reception. Regardless the location is a stone throw away from the beach, within a minute walk to the local foodmart, bottlo, pub, bakery and we would happily stay here again. See you guys next year.

Only just met our expectations. We knew this cabin was not luxury & given it’s isolated location were prepared for the high price we paid but it really is just reaching the acceptable mark. The room was very basic with the minimum about of crockery & cutlery and very little to assist you to cook a meal. There wasn’t even a bowl to mix a salad in Given these are promoted as family units & there are limited places to eat in town I would hate to be trying to feed a family for a week with the equipment provided. We did not see Coral Bay at it’s best as it was very windy & due to the coral bleaching there wasn’t much incentive to get in the water but the town felt like an oversized caravan park. Next time I would try Exmouth or Ningaloo.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, we are sorry to hear that you didn't feel the cooking utensils supplied in the room were sufficient for your needs. I will make sure I check all of the utensils supplied in each room as there certainly should have been a salad bowl provided. Next time, can I suggest if you needed anything to make your stay more comfortable that you approach one of the friendly staff in reception and they will do their very best to accommodate your request. At this time of year it is normally expected to be windy all up and down the West coast, however this past week has just been delightful with the wind dropping right off. I am sure you would have loved Coral Bay given the right conditions.

We stayed in the lodge - Bay Lodge - in unit 8. On the phone we were told to stay on the ground floor ‘so you can take your chairs out onto the grass’ but we should have stayed upstairs in a room with a balcony. Our door opens onto the walkway/verandah so it’s not private at all. The beds are a bit hard, and the furnishings are basic. Plastic chairs etc. It has a kitchenette which is great, and it’s roomy enough for two of us. It is clean and bright.

Hi Rose, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Although our Lodge rooms are very popular we do have many types of accommodation here at Bayview. We look forward to welcoming you back another time and you could possibly try a different type of accommodation and let us know which you prefer. Thank you for the kind words about the room being clean I will pass it onto our hard working housekeeping team.
