Peoples Park Caravan Park earns rave reviews for its cleanliness, with guests frequently commending the well-maintained and spotless accommodations. The hotel's atmosphere and modern amenities also receive high marks, offering a comfortable and relaxing experience. Its location near the beach is popular among visitors, despite some remarks about outdated facilities. However, the perceived value for money has been a point of contention, with several guests questioning the cost relative to the amenities provided. The rooms, especially the two-bedroom villas, are celebrated for their space and comfort. Staff members are consistently lauded for their friendly and efficient service.

Wonderful position being so close to the bay where you can walk across the road and start snorkelling. The closest park to the beach. Good facilities and the excellent Fins restaurant serves great reasonably priced food, even on Xmas Day, saving us from tinned sardines. You need a key for the ablution blocks which is kind of inconvenient but guess it stops the ‘blow ins’ from the bay washing the sand off their feet. Would certainly go again, although it’s a long way from Perth by UK standards anyway.

The camping ground is situated in Coral Bay, directly across from the beach.
The sites are a reasonable size and most have some grass and trees to provide shade.
The amenities are clean and modern. There is a great camp kitchen with BBQ facilities at the back of the camp ground, with plenty of seating and a lounge/TV. It is air conditioned which is great to escape the heat.

The showers are fresh water (apparently the only camping ground in Coral Bay that provides this). There is no fresh water to connect to your caravan though, so I'd recommend filling your water tanks before heading into Coral Bay.

There is a shop on site that sells all the basics, but other shops are just a 5 minute walk away. There is also a cafe on site as well.

It was one of the most expensive camping grounds that we stayed at during our tour, but I suspect the others in Coral Bay are just as expensive.

Dear David_Povey, Thanks so much for taking the time to write your lovely review. We're glad to hear you found our camping grounds great. Our housekeeping and grounds teams work hard to ensure our campgrounds are clean, so I will be sure to pass on the great feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed our camp kitchen and it definitely is a good place to escape the hotter days. As drinking water is in limited supply in Coral Bay due to our location, we do advise guests to fill fresh water tanks in their caravans, motorhomes (etc) before arrival, although we do provide drinking water for drink bottles, kettles, etc. Our prices are in line for the area. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again hopefully at Peoples Park. All the best, Rachel

Great location , right out the front of the main beach. We felt right at home straight away, after collecting our swipe key , very helpful at reception.
We set the caravan up , which was located just as you drive in across from the cabins .We had a nice grassy area and even a matting pad. Definitely one of the best maintained parks we have stayed in , sprinklers running and moved all the time and not even a leaf on the ground . I noticed the workers were very helpful, helping out a grey nomad who was struggling to park up his caravan .
If you ran into them they would always say Gday , give you a wave or nod
Plenty of amenities in the park for the amount of people staying and even a small shop and cafe right out the front , which is so handy. Will be back again , we loved our stay . Thanks again Peoples Park .

We stayed here for 3 nights in March, unfortunately just after the coral spawn, which meant the bay was not good for swimming with the fish kill, which dampened our spirits (and then so did the rain). The park is in the perfect location for a non coral spawn visit, as the bay is literally just out the front of the park.

The rain caused a number of washouts on the dirt roads around the park, which were challenging when not driving a 4wd, and if you needed to leave before the rain completely stopped and staff could start to rectify them.

We stayed on a 2nd row ocean front site, which meant we could use the newer ablution block dedicated to the 3 rows of ocean front sites. The block was kept in a clean and tidy condition.

We didn't get to speak to any staff as they had moved to a zero contact approach due to covid, so I can't comment on the staff.

Hi Mel_M802, Thank you for leaving a great review of the park. Unfortunately your stay did coincide with the 'fish kill' event, which is a rare event that can happen when the Coral spawns and we experience unfavourable wind conditions (I believe the last time it happened here was quite some time ago!). Unfortunately, nature does what it does and is out of our control. However, for usual conditions, I'm glad you can appreciate our close proximity to the Bay. Your stay also coincided unfortunately with some bad rain, which we usually only get approx 4-5 days of the year, and of course, it happened at the same time as the fish kill, which wasn't great for people staying in Coral Bay at this time. Please note this type of rain is not common for Coral Bay, but as with all weather, it can happen sometimes! I'm pleased you enjoyed the Ocean Front facilities. It is the newer block in the park and I'm so pleased you found them clean and tidy. Our housekeeping team work hard to ensure guests enjoy their stays. We had moved to a zero contact approach, as you say due to covid, to help protect our small town and staff. We have limited medical facilities in town being so remote. Unfortunately if someone had gotten sick in the office under the previous rules, we'd have ended up with too few staff to man the office with the close contact rules. However, I'm pleased to say with the rules changed, it's a little easier. We are still being careful at the office and have introduced a service-window for guests to approach to speak to us. We would still encourage guests to wear masks if possible. We are always here on the phone too for any queries at all. Hopefully we'll see you again and you can experience more normal conditions in the Bay! Kind regards Rachel

bit of a shame to write a review of one star but unfortunately this park deserves it on this occasion .

we booked in all went well made it clear to the receptionist when i checked in and on the booking online our van was 30 foot including draw bar .

went to the site got it on and the van was hanging back somewhat, so i moved it forward so the drawbar was on the fort road a bit . setup, then a groundsman came and made us re connect and move forward 700mm ,

this now put the van on the road he went and got cones to stop people driving into it and told us it was council rules .

i asked what was going behind (3) nights he said he didn’t care . so me moved it and it was a hassle due to the bank across from us was up and the draw bar was into the ground .

alas first night the site behind was vacant the next 2 night 1 x tent .

next issue water , we spent the last 7 nights on the beach at woorroro station and come into town with no water . old mate mr dread locks said we could take as much fresh water from the toilet blocks as we wanted .

i ran a hose today to find the thread on the tap was removed . the tap next to it has a security top he wouldn’t lend me the key . he said get a jerry can. or go to the neighbouring van park and pay 10c a litre .

we will go without water till Exmouth where they have a free tap at the visitors centre .

we had an amazing time in the town with the restaurants , pub and the snorkeling tours we done.

we will come back to the town but will stay next door where the sites are closer together but from what i’m told from others much user friendly .

Dear Steveoc1968, I’m disappointed to read your review. We do ask all guests upon booking for their caravan length including the drawbar – upon booking we were informed it was 26 feet, which is why you were placed on a 30 ft site. I have double checked your online booking request and it does say ‘26’. We can only do our best with the information provided by our guests. Our groundsman are here to ensure all shire legislation is adhered to on sites, that all caravans and setups are within the boundaries of their sites and not impinging on other people’s sites. That is why our groundsman asked you to shift slightly. I would like to point out that our groundsman offered you a much larger site (40 ft) but you refused it as you preferred the site next door to it, which as he mentioned, was unavailable. I consider that a very fair offer. With regards to water – again, as you booked via email, you would have been fully informed as to the water situation in the park (that you cannot hook up to fresh water, but that we have drinking water points available). This should not have, therefore, been a surprise to you had you read through the information. We are situated in a remote location, with limited drinking water supplies. We are the only park in Coral Bay to run fresh water to its showers (we also run fresh water to the laundry). Our groundsman was trying to help you with your water issue as you were visibly unhappy with this, and offered to lend you a container himself as you mentioned you didn’t wish to purchase one from the supermarket. He was trying to be helpful by mentioning the supermarket to you, as well as the bulk water filling station at the park next door. I consider this helpful advice. The number one great feedback I get daily in the reception from guests is the friendliness and helpfulness of our entire grounds team, who work tirelessly to ensure the sites are clean, well-watered, safe and spacious. Kind regards Rachel

The property is located in an unbeatable location, there is plenty of room onsite and well equipped with very clean BBQ’s, communal kitchen area’s, laundry facilities and amenities on-site.

We had a cabin and it exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and spacious. The cabin had two air conditioners that worked really well. The beds were comfortable with clean linens. Plenty of storage space and heaps of room for your luggage & suitcase.

The kitchen had a full sized fridge, microwave and stove top with fully decked out, pots & pans, utensils, crockery & cutlery, even an electric frypan. Good quality kettle and toaster. Dining table & chairs for four people and a two seat soafer and a big television.

The bathroom was very clean, well lit & well ventilated with big fluffy towels. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

You could park your car right outside the cabin, there was a very private patio area with table & chairs and also a clothes line at the back – which was very convenient.

The only thing missing for me was a hair-dryer, but overall loved the cabin and can’t wait to return next year.

$200 per night. ? The accommodation we got was pretty basic . Generally clean but basic . There was a foul smell coming from the bathroom . I could not get the front door locked and the fly screen did not have a key . Whilst we accept that we are in a remote area I just felt that $200 per night should have got us better value for money. The reception staff were very welcoming and the info they gave us re the best places to go to and for food etc was spot on . The location of the park is very close to a beautiful beach and we did enjoy the visit

Hi Rory, Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. Our pricing is in line with the rest of the Ningaloo area. The cabins, which is the style of accommodation you were booked into, are the cheaper price point for the accommodations, which might be why you found them more 'basic' in style. That being said, we are planning a full refurbishment program for those in 2022. I'd recommend checking out our Hilltop Studio Villas for your next stay. The front door should be fully lockable and indeed did lock when I closed the cabin earlier today. Any issues like that, though, we can help ASAP from reception if people bring them to our attention. I'm so glad to hear you received good advice from our reception team (they enjoying recommending their favourite places!) and that you enjoyed our location directly opposite the beach. Look forward to seeing you again hopefully. Kind regards Rachel

This would be the best outback caravan park that we have stayed at in WA. It was the attention to detail that made our stay enjoyable, friendly welcome, clean ablutions with fresh water showering, sites cleaned/raked after each vacancy and tree shade. We were in a camper van, third bay from the front with the beach a walk across the road and all shops within 100m or so.

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for your lovely review of your stay and I'm absolutely delighted to hear it's the 'best' remote park you've stayed at! I can tell you stayed in one of our ocean front section sites, which are well positioned directly opposite the beach (with those beautiful views) and a short walk to town's amenities. I'm pleased to say we get a lot of good feedback about our clean facilities and welcoming staff, so I'll be sure to pass your fantastic feedback on as it's lovely for the staff to hear. As you mentioned, we do ensure every single site is cleaned and raked upon a guest's departure so it's ready for the new arrivals. Thanks for choosing to stay at Peoples Park and hopefully we'll be seeing you here again soon. All the best, Rachel

We made the long trip up from Perth with a rental camper van (2 parents, 2 children) along with 3 other family groups. Was our first time staying but the others always stay at Peoples Park, they love it. Close to the beach, ocean views and perfect for a camping trailer set up. The units up on the hill would be awesome. We were accommodated in the Pioneer section for 8 nights, with sites adjacent to each other so we could had a communal area. Some shade from trees and some grass, but some wear and tear from the volume of campers, so there was some sandy patches as you’d expect. We did notice the maintenance staff working very hard to upkeep the place (setting sprinklers, trimming palm tree branches, cleaning ablutions block, etc. Fresh water for drinking and showers is not to be taken for granted - very welcomed and grateful for this, would be tricky otherwise. Staff at Peoples, as well as in general throughout the town, were very nice and friendly, great holiday vibe! The Park has a shop (plenty of ice for the esky) and a cafe - nice coffee (eftpos available). Up the road, the bakery was particularly delicious (cash only). I hadn’t expected the super market to have such a good selection of food (fresh as well as other everyday groceries) and equipment/supplies (for fishing, camping cars, etc) - that was a pleasant surprise. We got souvenirs and there are booking shops for adventures. It was busy, but didn’t feel crowded or noisy. Predominately southerly winds for the duration we stayed and, in particular for the last couple of days, very strong and dusty. I know it’s beachside camping, but hopefully in time they will be able to pave/seal and curb the entire road way inside the park. The white limestone tracks/car parks create glare as well as dust and u get sandy after your shower on the walk back to your sight (I realise just a minor issue as far as camping goes). The very hot weather (despite the wind) was perfect for lazing in the warm ocean and snorkeling. Coral bay is such a beautiful place with a picturesque coastline and sanctuary zone (never seen so much life in the ocean before). Take care and it’s fairly safe. The kids had some freedom and lots of fun. Their swimming has improved. We went on a glass bottom/snorkeling trip, we visited a couple of bars (happy hours) and cafes. Long trip back (but interesting scenery) with a one night stop over, but great time with plenty of memories. Highly recommend this Park and stop off if you are heading up North.

Villas were fantastic - quiet location overlooking the park and water. Location excellent. And you can walk straight out to the beach for a swim, snorkel, play - with a shower to get the sand off before you walk up the boardwalk back to the villa. (And kangaroos outside your window.) Wetsuits can be hired from the dive shop or kayak shack.

Amazingly warm friendly staff (special thanks to the lady with blond shoulder length hair).

Fins cafe brilliant for meals (as is the sister restaurant Reef - great for pizza and pasta). And a supermarket is right here too (vs having to walk the 100m to the other one).

Travelling around Oz this park was one of the best we stayed at. We camped for 3 nights. The park is well-grassed and all amenities are very good. There are common "kitchens" having BBQ and washing-up facilities. The ablution blocks are large and clean. All beaches and external facilities are in walking distance. This park also has an on-site cafe/restaurant.
