Detailed Reviews
We spent two nights at Points South by the Sea and it was the most wonderful and relaxing stay. We stayed in Cottage 3 and the views were superb and we slept each night listening to the sounds of the sea and the waves, pure bliss
The cottage is immaculate with everything you could need and we happily cooked dinner each evening followed by a glass of wine on the Terrace to watch the sun setting and then take in the wonderful southern sky stars with excellent views of the Southern Cross during our stay
Location is perfect to break the journey from Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road (12 Apostles visitor centre). On our 2nd morning we were at the 12 Apostles within an hour before it got too busy. Lots to see and explore in the area
Our hosts Bryan and Joan were just amazing, with every little detail taken care of, they gave us wonderful tips and advise on where to go and what to see and also for our onward journey to Queensland. They have just the right balance of being there when you need them but not in any way intrusive.
One of the highlights was seeing Koalas on the property and the lovely walks
We could have spent a week there if we had more time. The hosts do a wonderful job

Points South by Sea is absolutely breathtaking. We have just spent 2 nights in this divine spot and could easily stay longer. The cottages are in prime location and Bryan and Joan go well and truly above and beyond for their guests. If it’s this good in Winter I can only imagine what summer would be like. The spot is so private but their is so much to do so close also. Some of the best nature walks, rainforests and forests in the world and incredible beaches including great surf. We even woke up to a pod of dolphins this morning swimming outside our bedroom window.
Don’t go past booking this spot if you are reading this review, you won’t be disappointed. We can’t wait to come back!
Thanks Bryan and Joan.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Points South. Cabin 2 provided everything we needed for our short getaway – most of the creature comforts of home with the added benefits of a mesmerising uninterrupted ocean view and a sense of seclusion, tucked away from the hustle that often comes with visiting the Great Ocean Road during the Easter school holidays.
Upon arrival, we were met by Bryan, a most welcoming host for whom nothing was too much trouble. From providing simple suggestions of things to see and do, explaining how to use various features of the cabin, to topping up the firewood, Bryan did it all in a friendly and helpful manner. It was nice to know that if we needed anything, he was nearby, but he was also conscious of providing privacy, and I think he balanced this well.
A generous welcome package comprising a bag of goodies and a stocked fridge provided a little something for everyone. With Apollo Bay and Lorne so close, these provisions meant we could’ve settled in and enjoyed a break before heading to town to complete any shopping required for our stay.
We spent most of our time relaxing in the window seats, soaking up the ocean views and appreciating the birds and wildlife that found their way into the shrubbery surrounding the cottage. We also enjoyed exploring the private beach across the road, investigating rock pools, admiring pretty shells washed up on the sand, observing the unusual patterns made in the rocks through erosion and watching the rushing waves crash over the black rocky shore, filling the channels, before returning to the sea. Once it was too dark to see the ocean, we enjoyed relaxing with a book or watching a movie by the crackling fire with the sound of waves crashing in the background.
Other highlights of our time away included the breathtaking display of stars in the evening sky, spying a koala snoozing in a gum tree on the property and spotting a seal surfing the waves from our balcony.
Reflecting on our time at Points South, it is clear that Bryan and Joan have thoughtfully crafted a guest experience unlike any I have experienced before. We look forward to returning and enjoying another stay in Cabin 2.

Thank you for your very kind and detailed review of your stay at Points South by the Sea. You stayed in cottage 2 but all 3 cottages are as beautiful. We look forward to seeing you again one day, and don't forget that whale season is May to November.

We had the blue cabin and it was lovely. Sitting out on the deck in the mornings having breakfast was such a delight even when it was 13 degrees.
The bed was very comfortable and the cabin had everything you needed. The location overlooking the coastline is fantastic and the sound of the ocean at night was wonderful. The only negative for me was the fly screens were very dirty.

We have been very fortunate to spend seven superb days in luxury with the most stunning sea views. Brian and Joan kindly made us most welcome and we spent our time relaxing on the deck watching the sea (and seal) roll in. The cottages are private and beautifully appointed and maintained. We are looking forward to our return to beautiful Points South . Thankyou for your kindness and hospitality Bryan and Joan.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into a cosy, welcoming, warm and private sanctuary. Exactly what we needed. Beautiful decor and extremely well catered property including the best welcome pack to help us settle in. Bryan was extremely knowledgable and willing to provide lots of tips on places to visit during our stay with many places being only a short drive away. Ever changing views to enjoy with a good book and glass of wine by the fire. We chose to spend most nights in with a beautiful meal, soaking in the amazing views.
Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a place to stay to relax and recharge.

We spent two wonderful nights in cottage 2, looking out onto the ocean, listening to the waves break, the bird song and viewing the gorgeous Koalas that reside on the property, absolute heaven for us. Spent hours on the daybed soaking up the views and nature. It was a challenge for us to leave the cottage and venture just a short drive to Apollo Bay for a lovely lunch and supplies to enjoy back at the cottage. Bryan & Joan were welcoming throughout our stay. Would highly recommend.

Everything was perfect. An amazing place with incredible views. Wonderful hosts and nothing was too much effort.
We even had a private show nightly with a local seal playing near the rocks. It's amazing to think that you are the only two people watching this incredible display of nature.
Plenty of things to do within a short drive - or simply sit on the porch with a glass of wine and enjoy the view - which we did easily for 9 days.
We would recommend this place to anybody who loves relaxing in comfort and nature.

My husband and I spent a week here and it was truly fantastic! We have spent over 30 years holidaying in Apollo Bay. But this place is by far the best! The amazing views, (including seeing whales and dolphins) the sound of the crashing waves, the comfortable cottage with all that you need. Even a welcome hamper which was most appreciated. The hosts really do go out of their way to make you feel at home. Can't wait to go back!!!!!

Hi Priscilla
The beach is directly opposite so about 50 metres from the cottages.
Yes there is a track down to the beach directly opposite our drive way entrance
Rgds
Bryan
The beach opposite is apopular surf beach, sandy but only suitable for paddling. The nearest patrolled beach is a few kilometres away at Kennet River or Apollo Bay.
Warm regards Bryan
Hi, and sorry for the delay.
Yes we are gay friendly, but at this stage do not have a vacancy until January 23

Bryan
I have never been to Croatia. I do not know. My review above was for a place in Australia.
