Desperate times call for desperate measures... it was desperation that brought us to this place- a personal need to be closer to suburbia! Coming from more prestigious hotels based in the city, we greeted this place with frowned faces and deflated spirits. However, after exploring and comparing other hotels in the local areas, we learnt to appreciate and embrace this place-a lot!

The location of this motel, we found was very good-`walking distance to the Shopping Capital of Melbourne, Chadstone, and close to public transport ,to travel to and from the city when needed.

Free wireless internet was a true added bonus that we took advantage of whilst there.

The rooms were standard, nothing trendy or stylish, but at least they were clean and furniture in reasonably good condition. Heating/cooling was good, cleaners willing to assist.

Parking on site was good.

Situated on the main road- the view from the room was of passing traffic, but added some life to otherwise a very quiet area.

As we said- NOTHING FANCY BUT IT'S OK!

While it's not a top ranking motel, this quiet motel has all that is needed. My wife and I stayed one night on a Saturday and it was just nice. Check in was painless, John was very helpful, the rooms were a little dated, but appropriate based on the price. It was clean, tidy and provided a decent rest.
Being walking distance to the Chadstone Shopping Centre was a major plus.

Anyone reading this please note that the photo of units that forms part of the header for this hotel when you click on the review .... Is not of this hotel. Anyway, my husband and I stayed here for one night and John is lovely. As others have stated the rooms are very old fashioned - but they did the job for us and were clean and warmed up quickly (which matters a lot to us). A bit more milk would be good.

This is a fine motel, very handy for Chadstone and restaurants in the area, but no good if you don't like early starts! We had the chambermaid knocking on the door at 9am each morning, wanting to make the room up! We eventually gave up on the idea of a lie-in and took ourselves off to the bathroom so they could do the room. A case of the service being a little too good. It wasn't too bad on the weekdays, being up and ready by 9, but a bit much on the Sunday morning. Otherwise the rooms are very clean, and you have access to the balcony from the upstairs ones. Usual toaster, kettle and tea-making facilities, but no microwave. Please, Chadstone Motor Inn, give your guests a little more time in the mornings.

Stayed on work, often used by our company with good reports but this was my first stay. Friendly staff, good hassle free stay, very clean and comfortable. Decor may be getting dated but all working and clean. Meals on-site available in room or a quick walk to Nandos or very pleasant authentic Chinese restaurant. Situated on service road and road noise was not an issue. Good off road parking.
Will remain our motel of choice in this area.

We stayed for 9 nights whilst visiting my brother who lives nearby. It is a basic motel, but it is very clean and comfortable and, despite being on a major road, it was very quiet. Our room was large and had a fridge, kettle and toaster. There is an option to order breakfast delivered to your room, which we did one morning and it was very good. The enormous Chadstone mall is a short walk away. Hughesdale Station and a parade of shops and restaurants about a 10 minute walk. Staff very friendly and helpful and were happy to provide extra plates, cutlery, wine glasses. We have one slight quibble. They say they have free wifi in rooms. Perhaps they do in some rooms, but you need to be close to the lobby and modem. Our room, No 11, was at the other end of the corridor and we were not able to get a signal in our room. Whenever we wanted to check our mail etc we had to go and sit in the lobby. Apparently they have plans to boost the signal, but it didn't happen during our stay. Having said that, we recommend this motel and would stay again on our next visit to Melbourne.

Turned up at this hotel without a booking and desperate after finding out the accommodation I had booked at another hotel down the road was filthy & disgusting. The staff at the Chadstone Motor Inn couldn't be more understanding and obliging. We are a family of 5 and we travelled with my parents. We booked for 2 rooms for 5 nights. The reception staff, housekeeping and maintenance were all so lovely. The evening we arrived, late and frazzled without a booking, Carol the lovely lady on Reception could see I was upset and gave me one of her bottles of red wine. We stayed in an apartment which had a fully equipped kitchen and my parents stayed in a twin share room. Both were clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. The towels, tea towels, tea, coffee, milk etc were changed and restocked everyday by friendly staff. One of my boys had an accident and fell back on the window in the bedroom, smashing it. I was so worried and felt so bad (really bad) when we told reception but they were so incredibly understanding and never made us feel bad or put a downer on our holiday. The location was great - right across the road from the shopping centre and central to everything.

Nice quiet motel even though right on Dandenong road. Great friendly service, nothing was too much trouble, even suggested a few good places to eat. Great location, hop step and a jump to Chadstone Shopping Centre. Although room could do with refurbishment it certainly was comfortable and very clean.

My partner and I chose this place simply on location and we were quite happy with our choice. Clean, quiet - almost no traffic noise - with basic amenities provided. Water pressure was fantastic and provided an awesome long hot shower. Friendly welcoming staff. Check-in and out was straightforward and hassle free. We will definitely be returning.
